• Jason Smith and the Wizards agreed to a three-year, $16 million deal on Tuesday.

Smith appears to be the emergency center now and the last year of his deal is a player option.  That’s a hefty amount to play when you’ve already locked up two older, expensive centers in Marcin Gortat and Ian Mahinmi.  It almost makes one wonder if they’ve got something else cooking but that’s pure speculation.

  • Kevin Porter Jr.
    SG-SF, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Porter Jr. (right ankle) is probable to return on Monday vs. the Pistons.

  • Emmanuel Mudiay
    PG, Utah Jazz

Emmanuel Mudiay (right ankle soreness) is now listed as available for Monday's game against the Rockets.

Mudiay missed just one game with the ailment. His minutes have been under 10 per game over his last three. That won't likely change much with Mike Conley back in the rotation.

  • Kevin Porter Jr.
    SG-SF, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Porter Jr. limped off the court and went to the locker room during the second quarter of Monday's game against the Pistons.

Porter returned from a 10-game absence tonight, and that's not a good start. We'll find out shortly if he left due to the same left knee that just kept him out for that stretch.

  • James Harden
    PG, Houston Rockets

Jonathan Feigen reports that the Rockets are optimistic that James Harden (left thigh contusion) will play on Wednesday against the Blazers.

That would stop Harden's missed games streak at two if he can get back by Wednesday, and to much rejoicing by those that roster him, at that.

  • Thon Maker
    C, Detroit Pistons

Thon Maker went to the locker room in the first quarter of Monday's game and returned soon after with a bandage over his right eye.

It appears that Maker will play through the injury, so there's seemingly no worry here.

  • Clint Capela

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is now listed as out for Monday's game against the Jazz.

  • Langston Galloway

  • Tomas Satoransky
    PG, Chicago Bulls
