Jimmy Butler hit just 3-of-11 shots in the Bulls’ 115-107 home loss to the Knicks on Wednesday, finishing with seven points to go with four rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes.
It’s not just us saying that Butler doesn’t look right — it’s the beat writers too — and though the Bulls continue to say there aren’t any problems that’s what they’re supposed to say. Hopefully he can push through whatever is holding him back and get back to his early round form for owners. They’re one game out of the playoff chase in the East and owners have to hope things don’t get out of hand. Derrick Rose (21 points, three rebounds, four assists, two threes, 9-of-17 FGs) is the beneficiary of Butler’s slog, and Pau Gasol (four points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, 25 minutes) is still on a minutes restriction.
