Hollis Thompson scored 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting (2-of-8 3PTs, 4-of-5 FTs) with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Sixers’ 111-97 loss to the Thunder on Friday.
This is a good Hollis line and he’s usually a low-end performer in 14-16 team leagues, and he’ll get about a half a week by recent reports to play without Robert Covington (concussion) during Philly’s upcoming four-game week. Jerami Grant is late-round producer now that he has been more or less unleashed, and he scored 15 points on 4-of-14 shooting (7-of-12 FTs) with seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks. If he can learn to shoot watch out.
Isaiah Canaan was productive again with 10 points, three treys, four boards, two assists and three steals in 31 minutes, so he’ll be worth a look in the hope that Covington doesn’t hit his semi-formal Wednesday return date. Ish Smith managed just six points, four boards, seven assists and one steal and though he has no real room for error, the four-game week means he should be held in 8-cat leagues, and leagues in which you’re punting his deficient areas of course.
