  • Alan Williams - F/C - Brooklyn Nets

Alan Williams scored four points in four minutes in Wednesday's season finale vs. the Heat.

This was just the fifth NBA game of the season for Williams, who played very well in 41 G League games as well. He had some success with the Suns a few seasons back, but he's no longer a fantasy option.

  • Alan Williams - F/C - Brooklyn Nets

Alan Williams made his season debut in garbage time on Friday but ended up posting eight points, eight rebounds and two assists in only nine minutes.

Big Sauce was thought to be headed to China before that deal fell through and the Nets quickly brought him back on another two-way contract. He was rather active tonight but won't see much time for the Nets unless Jarrett Allen or Ed Davis gets hurt. Williams can pull down rebounds just like Davis but lacks the footspeed to keep up with most opponents, where at least Davis (6 & 5 with a block tonight) stands a puncher's chance. Good to see Big Sauce back on the floor, at least.

Alan Williams will sign a two-way deal with the Nets after complications arose with his deal in China.

Williams was waived by the Nets at the beginning of January. It's a quick turnaround and likely a disappointment for Big Sauce given the disparity in pay, but at least he's re-found a home in the NBA without going through a lengthy wait.

The Nets have requested waivers on Alan Williams, per Michael Scotto of The Athletic.

Williams sustained a nasty ankle sprain in the preseason and has yet to see the floor in a Nets uniform. He was limited to just five games last year after tearing his meniscus. Big Sauce has been playing with the Long Island Nets and averaging 21.0 points and 14.7 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game across 17 contests. The 25-year-old was on a two-way deal and Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Williams will sign a deal in China.

Alan Williams (sprained ankle) will not play on Wednesday.

Williams wasn't expected to play as he's been sidelined for the entire preseason, so consider this official confirmation. With Rondae Hollis-Jefferson questionable and DeMarre Carroll out, the Nets might be operating shorthanded in the frontcourt tomorrow night.

Alan Williams (ankle) will not play on Monday night.

Williams twisted his ankle two weeks ago and hasn't seen the floor since. The Nets might have a need for him given their hesitancy to play Jarrett Allen against bigger centers, but missing most of the preseason is not a great first step for a two-way contract player.

Alan Williams is out Wednesday with a left ankle sprain.

Williams twisted his ankle last week and has not recovered enough to debut with the rest of the team. There's been buzz around him adding a 3-point shot, but he does not have fantasy value.

Alan Williams twisted his ankle at practice.

The severity of the injury is currently unknown but it's a tough break for a guy on a two-way contract. Williams will have a hard time carving out fantasy relevance in leagues of standard depth.

  • Alan Williams - F/C - Brooklyn Nets

Alan Williams is the latest big man to spend his summer working on a 3-point shot.

"There's no way that you go into this league now without having a 3-point shot. I'm not going to say I'm an elite shooter, but I definitely have improved there, and it's also something else I want to show." Williams also said that the Nets want the bigs to play like guards, but we'll believe he's got the deep ball down when we see it in action. On a two-way deal, Big Sauce offers minimal appeal.

Alan Williams agreed to a two-way deal with the Nets on Friday.

Williams was very useful in limited minutes two seasons ago and finally found a new team after missing last season. We'll see if he gets a chance to stick on the NBA roster, but even then he may find himself stuck competing with Kenneth Faried and Ed Davis for minutes.
