Alex Caruso

Fantasy News

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso suffered a calf injury on Wednesday and did not return after playing only four minutes and missing his only shot.

Caruso has not been fantasy-relevant lately, so he won't be missed too much outside of his diehard cult following.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso had a well-rounded performance with 11 points on 4-of-8 FGs, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes in a loss to the Pacers on Tuesday.

Caruso led the Lakers in plus-minus tonight with a plus-9. He can produce a little of everything given enough minutes, but his role has been too inconsistent. Keep Caruso in mind if you need a steals streamer, but that's about all he's good for unless the Lakers are short a few guards.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo (left hamstring strain) is officially questionable ahead of Friday's tilt vs. the Heat.

Rondo was a game-time decision heading into Wednesday's game against the Magic. He ultimately sat out that contest which allowed Alex Caruso to see 28 minutes in the game. If Rondo is forced to miss another game, expect more minutes from Caruso off the bench.

  • Kyle Kuzma
    PF, Los Angeles Lakers

Kyle Kuzma (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Friday's matchup against the Heat.

Kuzma missed Wednesday's contest with this ankle injury and Jared Dudley saw a significant increase in minutes in the game. Avery Bradley, Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could also all see a few extra minutes if Kuzma sits out again.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest vs. the Magic as he nurses a strained hamstring.

Rondo has the potential to produce value worthy of the last spot on your roster in standard leagues, while he has slightly more value in 8-cat leagues. Alex Caruso will continue to see more opportunity if Rondo misses the game while Avery Bradley will see about 15 minutes in his first game back from injury.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo (left hamstring strain) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game.

Alex Caruso scored 16 points on Sunday with Rondo sidelined. Rondo had strung together several solid games before getting injured on Friday.

  • Avery Bradley
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Avery Bradley is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Magic after dealing with a right leg hairline fracture.

Bradley has missed more than a month but looks like he is ready to return. He probably won't help standard league owners much but may cut into Alex Caruso's minutes eventually.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo (hamstring) is being listed as questionable to play against the Magic on Wednesday.

Rondo missed Sunday's win over the Wolves, and he is in danger of missing this one as well. Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook will see additional minutes if Rondo can't go.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso put up 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting in a win over the Wolves on Sunday.

Caruso added four rebounds, four assists and two steals to the stat sheet. He made two of his three attempts from beyond the arc. He was second on the team in minutes with 30 and he is worth a look in deep leagues.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso played 24 minutes on Friday night, posting eight points, three assists, a steal and a three.

Caruso got some extra run with Rajon Rondo departing early because of hamstring tightness, and given the likelihood that he misses some time you can consider Caruso a potential pickup in deep leagues.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso (calf) logged 25 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, but managed just two points on 1-of-1 shooting, one rebound, two assists, one steal and one block against the Pelicans.

Caruso was also a +23 and got minutes down the stretch, which is obviously the right move for the Lakers. Whether he can get starter's minutes and be productive with them is a whole other story so you can watch this from the wire for now.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso returned from a one-game absence on Monday night but only posted one assist in 13 minutes.

Caruso's absence on Saturday was likely precautionary, though he's going to struggle to produce with Rajon Rondo and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope soaking up minutes these days.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso will be available on Monday against the Spurs after missing a game with a right calf strain.

Caruso was already considered probable. He records steals a nice rate but only averages 20 minutes per game. This development could cut into Rajon Rondo's playing time.

  • Alex Caruso
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Alex Caruso (right calf strain) is probable for Monday's game, though the team will see how he feels after shootaround.

Caruso sat out on Saturday after playing through the injury on Friday, so it doesn't seem all that serious. Lakers Twitter should have their golden boy to talk about tonight.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo played 26 minutes off the bench in Saturday's win over the Grizzlies and ended up scoring 14 points, while chipping in five rebounds, six assists, two steals and one turnover.

Rondo did not have to compete with teammate Alex Caruso (right calf strain) and was able to log 26 minutes tonight. He was able to provide a full stat line tonight and tease potential fantasy managers with what he can still provide to teams. Ultimately, Rondo's value resides with the minutes he is given and is more of a streaming option than a league player.
