The Pacers have recalled Goga Bitadze and Alize Johnson from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Bitadze has appeared in 46 games for the Pacers this season but in only 8.5 minutes per game there has not been any noteworthy production. Johnson has seen the court only 12 times this season as he's bounced back and forth between the Pacers and Mad Ants.

    PG, Indiana Pacers

The Pacers have assigned Edmund Sumner and Alize Johnson to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and, as a result, neither player will be available to play on Friday night against the Wolves.

This is a procedural move. With the Pacers getting healthy they have no need for these two. Sumner is a player to monitor in the very deepest and/or dynasty leagues due to his intriguing steal rate, but otherwise there's nothing to see here.

The Pacers have sent Goga Bitadze and Alize Johnson to the G League for Saturday's game.

Johnson has only appeared in nine games for the Pacers this season with 10.0 minutes per while Bitadze has played slightly more at 13.0 minutes across 13 games so the Pacers are trying to give them some more court time. Johnson, the 50th overall pick in the 2018 draft, has put up big numbers in six G League games with 23.5 points, 14.7 rebounds (5.2 offensive), 5.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 triples. Bitadze, the 18th overall pick in 2019, has averaged 20.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 triples across two games.

The Pacers assigned Goga Bitadze and Alize Johnson to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday.

They will be in uniform and eligible to play. This is Bitadze's first stint with the G League squad, reminding all of us of just how accelerated his development has been as a "raw" rookie this season. Goga had a nice string of four-block games earlier this season, but he and Johnson are well off the fantasy radar with the Pacers nearing full health.

The Pacers recalled Alize Johnson from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the G League.

Johnson has only averaged 6.4 minutes when he has been on the NBA roster this season. This move could spell even less playing time for T.J. Leaf, but Johnson does not have fantasy relevance at this time.

Alize Johnson made his season debut on Wednesday night against the Wizards, logging eight minutes with two points and a rebound.

The Pacers really love Johnson's motor and made it sound like he might have a rotation role this season, but so far he's been on the outside looking in. When Myles Turner is healthy we wouldn't expect him to be in the mix outside of garbage time. It is notable that Johnson booted T.J. Leaf from the rotation in this one, but that only affects 30-team leagues, if even that.

Alize Johnson led the Pacers with 17 points, eight rebounds and two triples on Saturday as they knocked off the Kings 130-106.

Johnson played a team-high 20 minutes while 13 players played over 10 minutes with the Pacers taking it easy in a second game of a back-to-back set and blowing the game open with 46 points in the second quarter. With T.J. Leaf currently injured, Johnson's strong play could potentially have him overtake Leaf for the backup power forward role but he can remain off the fantasy radar for now.

The second-year option for Alize Johnson has been fully guaranteed.

Johnson, who put up an excellent performance at Summer League, will make $1.4 million this season. He is unlikely to play much but the Pacers have been consistent in their view that he is a player worth developing over the long-term.

Alize Johnson continued his strong summer on Friday night with 25 points on 10-for-17 shooting, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one three.

The former second-round pick has put himself in a position to be considered for a rotation spot as the Pacers wind down this summer and prepare for training camp. Fantasy players in deep leagues may want to keep an eye on how things progress going into next season.

Alize Johnson double-doubled with 18 points, 10 rebounds and one steal on 7-of-14 shooting in 32 minutes against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Johnson, the 50th pick from the 2018 NBA draft, was the lone bright spot for the Pacers on Tuesday as the Hawks blew them out. If the Pacers decide to hang onto Johnson for next season, he could find himself cracking the rotation for a few minutes a night.

Per J. Michael of the Indy Star, the Pacers expect to settle Alize Johnson's $1.4 million option closer to the deadline date, which happens after the Summer League games.

If Johnson were to return, he'd be joining a better situation than last season as the Pacers reshuffled their rotation. T.J. Warren and Jeremy Lamb are replacing the departing Wes Matthews and Bojan Bogdanović, while Goga Bitadze replaces Thaddeus Young. Johnson can play himself into a role next season, and it all starts with how he does in the Summer League.

Through his foundation, "Where There's A Will, There's a Way," Alize Johnson helped open up three new basketball courts at a once-neglected site in his hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania this offseason.

Johnson has set out to give back to all the communities who have helped him become the man he is today and achieve his goal of playing in the NBA. This is an excellent story for the soon-to-be sophomore big man, and we commend Johnson for his efforts. Johnson will look to crack the Pacers rotation next season.
