Allonzo Trier

  • Allonzo Trier
    PG, New York Knicks

Allonzo Trier is staying positive despite reduced role.

As an undrafted rookie last season, Trier averaged 22.8 minutes across 64 games. This season has a much different outlook as he has appeared in less than half the team's games so far at only 12.0 minutes. Interim coach Mike Miller praised Trier's professionalism this year, saying he is one the first ones in the gym every day as well as being focused and providing excitement on the bench, cheering on his teammates. Trier himself spoke about how he is trying to be the best teammate he can be, constantly trying to find holes in the defense to point out to his teammates Mitch Robinson and Marcus Morris and his team-first, continue to work hard every day attitude is a great sign that he will be ready when his number is called. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes in the meantime.

  • Reggie Bullock
    SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock will not suit up against the Suns on Thursday as he nurses a sore neck.

Bullock has been able to get a high amount of steals (1.6 per-game) since joining the Knicks’ rotation after missing the first 33 games due to injury. He could be used as a dart throw streamer in standard leagues only if the goal is to acquire steals. Damyean Dotson, Wayne Ellington and Allonzo Trier could see additional opportunity with Bullock sidelined.

Allonzo Trier played 10 minutes against the Heat on Friday after missing four games with a concussion.

Trier finished with two points, two rebounds, two assists and one block. He is currently the Knicks third string shooting guard behind R.J. Barrett and Damyean Dotson and the situation will be further muddied when Wayne Ellington and Reggie Bullock eventually return from injury.

Allonzo Trier cleared the concussion protocol and is now available to play on Friday.

Trier, who has missed the last four games dealing with the concussion is now cleared to play. He still holds no real value, and can be left on the wire in all leagues.

Allonzo Trier has been upgraded to questionable for Friday's game vs. the Heat.

Trier was previously ruled out but is now listed as questionable on the latest injury report. He hasn't played since December 10th. Even if he does suit up on Friday, it is hard to predict where he fits in under new coach Mike Miller.

    PG, New York Knicks

The Knicks have ruled Allonzo Trier (concussion) out of Friday's game.

Trier last played on December 10 and doesn't look all that close to a return. He started at point guard on opening night but quickly fell out of the rotation. It's possible that he finds minutes for Mike Miller, but even then his fantasy appeal is almost nil.

Allonzo Trier will not play on Tuesday due to concussion issues.

Trier last played on December 10. He is capable of scoring in limited minutes, but there's not much upside here even when he is healthy. Elfrid Payton is handling much of the point guard duty recently.

Allonzo Trier (concussion) has been ruled out of his next two games vs. the Kings and Nuggets.

Allonzo Trier (concussion symptoms) is being considered doubtful vs. the Kings on Friday.

Trier reportedly bumped his head while working out yesterday and is now experiencing some concussion-like symptoms. Stay tuned for updates closer to tip-off but the Knicks will likely be cautious with him.

  • Wayne Ellington
    SG, New York Knicks

Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) will be unavailable on Wednesday.

Ellington missed Saturday's game as well. He hasn't made a huge impact this season, but Allonzo Trier could see some more action for now.

    PG, New York Knicks

Allonzo Trier scored 13 points (4-for-9 FGs) in 14 minutes off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Blazers, adding two assists and two 3-pointers.

Trier minutes were his highest in a month, as his playing time has been sporadic. The Knicks need to shake things up and develop their young players, so maybe Trier can get back in the regular rotation later in the season. For now, leave him on the wire.

  • Allonzo Trier
    PG, New York Knicks

Allonzo Trier had an efficient game on Sunday as he put up 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting in a loss to the Cavs.

He added one rebound, two assists and one block to the box score. The minutes continue to fluctuate for Trier, but he remains a deep-league scoring specialist.

    PG, New York Knicks

Allonzo Trier saw some extra run with Frank Ntilikina logging just 15 minutes on Sunday, picking up 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, a block and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Trier's been all over the place this season, starting on opening night and picking up DNP-CDs just a couple weeks into the year. He's a deep-league scorer when the minutes are there but nobody can say with certainty when Trier will actually play.

  • Dennis Smith Jr.
    PG, New York Knicks

Dennis Smith Jr. (personal) is being listed as questionable to play in Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Smith is dealing with a death in the family and didn't make the flight with the team to Orlando. Smith will likely start if he does suit up as Elfrid Payton (sore hamstring) is ruled out. If Smith doesn't play, Frank Ntilikina and Allonzo Trier will get a ton of burn.

  • Elfrid Payton
    PG, New York Knicks

Elfrid Payton (strained right hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Magic.

With Payton out and Dennis Smith Jr. (personal) uncertain, Frank Ntilikina and Allonzo Trier are going to get a lot of run against a strong Magic defense.
