  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday’s Game 4 vs. the Nets.

This news isn’t surprising seeing as Embiid missed Game 3 due to the knee pain. With the Sixers up 2-1 in the first round series, Embiid could sit out another one. Greg Monroe, who started Game 3, Jonah Bolden and Boban Marjanovic would be the prime beneficiaries with Amir Johnson also in line to pick up a few minutes.

  • Jonah Bolden
    F, Philadelphia Sixers

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) partially participated in Friday’s practice and is listed as questionable to play on Saturday vs. the Nets.

With Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) listed as doubtful for Saturday’s contest, the Sixers really could use Bolden out there if he’s able to go. If not, we’ll see some Amir Johnson and Boban Marjanovic.

  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) is officially listed as doubtful to play in Saturday’s Game 1 vs. the Nets.

Embiid has missed five of his last seven games with the knee soreness and with Jonah Bolden (left knee) also questionable we might be seeing a lot of Amir Johnson or the Sixers might opt to go small. Boban Marjanovic would probably get some run too.

  • Amir Johnson
    C/F, Philadelphia Sixers

Amir Johnson scored 12 points with nine rebounds, two blocks, one steal, one assist and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes of work in Wednesday's season finale win vs. Chicago.

Johnson was the backup center until Boban Marjanovic was acquired via trade and Jonah Bolden started to earn more minutes. He finished outside the top-375 in 8 and 9-cat formats and was never really a fantasy option this season.

  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee, load management) will not play on Saturday against the Wolves.

This comes at the worst time for fantasy owners battling in the H2H playoffs but we have to roll with the punches. Jonah Bolden and Amir Johnson are the prime beneficiaries with Bolden being the higher upside play. Considering the opponent is the Wolves, it could turn into a blowout quickly which would put Boban Marjanovic in play as well.

  • Amir Johnson
    C/F, Philadelphia Sixers

Amir Johnson contributed just four points, two rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes while starting in Joel Embiid's place on Tuesday.

With Embiid resting, the Sixers also went with 15 minutes of Mike Scott, 12 minutes of Jonah Bolden and 11 minutes of Boban Marjanovic. All told, the three backup centers combined for zero points, five rebounds, two assists a steal in those 38 minutes.

Amir Johnson will start for Joel Embiid (rest) on Tuesday against the Hornets.

Johnson gets the nod over Boban Marjanovic and Jonah Bolden but remains the weakest fantasy option of the three. If you're streaming we'd rather roll with Boban but Johnson's certainly on the board.

Amir Johnson will once again draw the start on Friday vs. the Rockets.

Jonah Bolden will come off the bench. Bolden is capable of a better line when he’s starting but both can be left on the waivers tonight unless you’re desperate.

Amir Johnson nearly double-doubled on Wednesday, with nine points and eight rebounds on 3-of-4 shooting in a loss to the Bulls.

Johnson started instead of Jonah Bolden in this one. Bolden flashed some defense with two steals and two blocks in 18 minutes. Bolden has been top-115 value over the past two weeks and is more of an enticing stream than Johnson, but Joel Embiid is on the cusp of returning, so they can be left on the wire.

Amir Johnson (upper back tightness) scored 13 points with five rebounds, two assists, a steal, a three and two blocks over 20 minutes in a start vs. the Magic on Tuesday night.

That's a nice game for those that streamed him tonight. Amir started for Jonah Bolden, who was starting for Boban Marjanovic, who was starting for Joel Embiid. Bolden could be back from his illness for Wednesday's game. But if not, Amir could do some damage against the Bulls.

Amir Johnson (upper back tightness) has been cleared to play will start at center on Tuesday night against the Magic.

Johnson missed Saturday's game and didn't practice yesterday, but he'll give it a go with Philly's top three centers all out tonight. He's a cheap DFS option for this one but is generally not a great fantasy target. Mike Scott and Ben Simmons will play a lot of small-ball five tonight. Justin Patton might also make his season debut.

Amir Johnson (upper back tightness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Magic.

While Johnson is not on the fantasy radar, this is news for the Sixers as a whole. Their top four centers are now either out – Joel Embiid (knee), Boban Marjanovic (knee) – or questionable – Jonah Bolden (illness) and Johnson. It could be a big day for Nikola Vucevic.

Amir Johnson (upper back tightness) missed practice on Monday.

Johnson missed Saturday's game vs. the Warriors with this same injury so his status in Tuesday's game vs. the Magic isn't looking too good. He should be considered questionable as of right now. Johnson has only appeared in two games over the past month and he's only averaging 8.9 minutes in those games. He's the 370th-ranked player on the season and shouldn't be owned in any leagues.

Amir Johnson (upper back tightness) will not be available against the Warriors on Saturday.

With Joel Embiid also being out for tonight's game, Johnson could have taken advantage of that absence and play a couple of spot minutes but he's on the shelf as well. Jonah Bolden and Mike Scott will be the main beneficiaries of the absence of both Embiid and Johnson. Johnson has been playing an average of 9.5 minutes per game so there's no fantasy value for him at all this season.
