Ante Zizic

Fantasy News

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic started for Tristan Thompson (foot) again on Saturday against the Nuggets, scoring 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting with six rebounds and 5-of-6 makes from the foul line in 31 minutes.

Thompson's status is a bit murky because it's very unlikely he plays through injuries unless he absolutely wants to. Zizic's value is almost entirely tied to whether Thompson ends up being a shutdown candidate, but feel free to grab him as a plug-and-play while he's hot.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic started for an injured Tristan Thompson on Friday and produced a solid line with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting, adding 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in 34 minutes.

Even though he got owned by Rudy Gobert on both ends, Zizic put up a good showing for himself, all things considered. He's a speculative add in deep leagues for his short-term value as the Cavs' big men convalesce from their respective injuries.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic finished Wednesday's blowout loss with 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes.

The Cavs got smoked, as you would expect, so garbage time ruled the day. Tristan Thompson played only 21 minutes with four points and eight rebounds while Jaron Blossomgame joined Zizic in the fun with eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Thompson remains the only guy to look for in most fantasy leagues but the blowout risk is a very real concern. Zizic is worth a shot in 20-team leagues while Larry Nance (sprained MCL) is out.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic picked up some scrap playing time as the Cavs were blown out by the Rockets on Friday and responded with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting, adding eight rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes.

He's not going to shine like this on a consistent basis, so you may want to hold off on grabbing him off the wire. That said, Zizic has done enough in the absence of Larry Nance Jr. (sprained MCL), to warrant being on watch lists in 16-team leagues or deeper.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic saw 20 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans, netting 10 points with four rebounds, two assists and a block.

Tristan Thompson wasn't quite at 100 percent and Larry Nance Jr. didn't play with a knee injury, so that opened things up a bit. The blowout didn't hurt either. He's got potential to help 30-team owners with efficiency and rebounds, even in limited minutes, but we're not expecting him to hold any value once Thompson and/or Nance get back to full strength.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic (right knee soreness) played 13 minutes against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Zizic scored six points on 6-of-6 FTs with six rebounds and even with Larry Nance dealing with knee issues there's no reason to look at Zizic while he's getting purely backup center minutes.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic (right knee soreness) will be available to play on Tuesday.

Zizic has missed five straight games but is good to go tonight. With Tristan Thompson back it's unlikely that Zizic sees regular minutes, so he's largely irrelevant for fantasy.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic (right knee soreness) is questionable to play on Tuesday.

Zizic has missed five straight and with Tristan Thompson back there's not much space for him in the rotation. He's only worth hanging onto in deep dynasty formats.

Ante Zizic (right knee soreness) will remain out on Saturday against the Pelicans

Zizic will miss his fifth consecutive game. Once he returns, his already limited role will be reduced even further with Tristan Thompson now back. Zizic can be ignored in all formats.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic (right knee soreness) will not play on Friday.

Zizic has been out for a week now and with Tristan Thompson back in action there's no need to hold onto him outside of 30-teamers. Even then, it's pretty dicey.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

The official NBA injury report has David Nwaba and Ante Zizic listed as “out” for tonight’s game against the Heat.

Zizic has failed to see much action with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson sidelined and his future in the league seems to be up in the air. Nwaba will join a loaded backcourt when he returns from his ankle sprain and is only a consideration in deeper leagues.

Ante Zizic (sore knee) will not play Saturday.

He was originally available for this one but then ended up being a late scratch. Channing Frye, Jaron Blossomgame and Larry Nance Jr. should be in for extra minutes again. Zizic doesn't hold any value with Tristan Thompson returning soon.

  • Channing Frye - F/C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Channing Frye and Jaron Blossomgame will start on Friday vs. the Heat.

Ante Zizic (knee), David Nwaba (ankle), Rodney Hood (ankle) and Tristan Thompson (foot) are all out so the Cavs need some live bodies to start the game while trying to maintain coach Larry Drew’s rotations as he’s moving Larry Nance to the bench. Frye is too old to make a consistent impact but we’ll be watching the awesomely-named Blossomgame while Nance should get his usual run.

Ante Zizic (sore knee) did not practice on Thursday.

His status for Friday's game is up in the air, but it may not matter for fantasy purposes. Tristan Thompson could return Friday and Zizic does not need to be owned anywhere.

  • Ante Zizic - C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Ante Zizic scored six points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds as the starting center in a loss to the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

He shot 2-of-8 from the field, so this was not exactly a good performance from Zizic, but it was his best of the season. Larry Nance Jr. did not play well either, as he scored six points with nine rebounds and two steals on 2-of-8 shooting. The Cavs are a mess, but Nance Jr. is the guy to own in Cleveland this season even with the inconsistent performances. Zizic should not be owned in any leagues unless he starts consistently, then he can be a rebounding specialist for deep leagues.
