Anzejs Pasecniks, a first-round selection in 2017, made his NBA debut in 2019-20 and finished the year averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.3 steals and 0.5 blocks in 17.6 mpg.

Pasecniks was called in when the Wizards were missing Thomas Bryant, Moe Wagner and Ian Mahinmi, but he took full advantage of his opportunity. The big man didn't offer enough rim protection to hold serious fantasy appeal but he was able to manage top-350/375 value (8/9-cat). Expect him to be at the very edge of the rotation when Washington is healthy.

Anzejs Pasecniks (neck stiffness) is questionable to play on Tuesday.

Pasecniks has fallen out of the rotation except for the nights where Thomas Bryant or Mo Wagner are sitting or limited. He did an admirable job earlier in the year when Washington's depth was gutted but can be ignored in all formats now.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left hip tightness) is being listed as out for Tuesday's game against the Bulls.

Pasecniks doesn't hold much fantasy value with Moritz Wagner, Rui Hachimura and Davis Bertans all healthy. He can be left on the waiver wire.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left hip tightness) is questionable for Tuesday's game.

Pasecniks hasn't been in the rotation lately with Rui Hachimura and Davis Bertans both back in action and allowing the Wizards to go with smaller lineup configurations. He's not a fantasy option.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left ankle sprain) is being ruled out of Thursday's matchup with the Cavs.

Pasecniks run of fantasy value is pretty much over for now with Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans returning to action, along with Rui Hachimura being cleared for full activities. Pasecniks is merely a depth option when healthy as the Wizards' frontcourt returns to health.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left ankle sprain) will not play on Wednesday.

Pasecniks posted 11 points and six rebounds in 23 minutes on Friday against the Raptors. However, at the moment he's not a recommended add even when healthy.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left ankle sprain) is being listed as questionable to play against the Heat on Wednesday.

Pasecniks is just a depth option now that Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans have returned to action. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left ankle sprain) is being listed as out for Monday's game against the Pistons.

With the Wizards starting to get some of their frontcourt players back from injury, Pasecniks' role has been diminished even when he is healthy enough to go. He can be left on waiver wires.

Anzejs Pasecniks (left ankle sprain) is questionable to play on Monday.

Pasecniks has been playing well in a backup role for the shorthanded Wizards, and if he's forced to sit out tomorrow it'll mean more work for Ian Mahinmi and Johnathan Williams. Considering there are 14 games on tomorrow, we can't imagine that you'll be stressing about Pasecniks when setting your lineups.

The Wizards have converted Anzejs Pasecniks to a standard NBA contract following the waiving of C.J Miles (wrist) according to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.

The 7’1 Pasecniks has provided valuable rebounding for the flailing Wizards, and made more sense to keep on the roster than Miles, a low-end 3-point option who’s return date is still unclear. Pasecniks has averaged 8.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in his 13 with the team, but has done little else to warrant fantasy attention. This move will also allow the Wizards to free up a two-way roster spot, which they will use to re-sign Johnathan Williams according to Buckner.

According to Keith Smith, the Wizards plan to sign Anzejs Pasecniks to a standard contract if/when they clear a roster spot.

Pasecniks has shown both skill and spunk over the last several weeks as a stand-in big man for the Wizards while their regulars were sidelined with injuries. Thomas Bryant is coming back soon, making Pasecniks more of a dynasty-league project than a season-long hold.

Anzejs Pasecniks played well for the Wizards in 22 minutes off the bench on Saturday, tallying 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting with eight rbeounds, one assist and one block.

Pasecniks is seeing some nice run with the Wizards' regular frontcourt players sidelined with respective injuries. He's worth short-term stream in deep leagues for now.

  • Rui Hachimura
    PF, Washington Wizards

Per Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, Scott Brooks confirmed that Rookie F Rui Hachimura (groin contusion) will remain out for a few more weeks.

The Wizards frontcourt is decimated right now with Thomas Bryant, Moritz Wagner and Davis Bertans all joining Hachimura on the sidelines. Ian Mahinmi and Anzejs Pasecniks will continue to soak up minutes in the meantime, though Thomas Bryant is inching closer to a return.

There was a lot of garbage time to be had in the Wizards' 102-132 blowout loss to the Pistons on Thursday and Anzejs Pasecniks was one of the beneficiaries as he led the team with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting with six rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Pasecniks is an intriguing player to watch, but tonight's strong game needs to be taken with more than grain of salt, given its blowout nature.

  • Gary Payton II
    G, Washington Wizards

Gary Payton II Wizards debut went quite well as he double-doubled with six steals in 34 minutes against the Knicks on Monday, providing 10 points (4-of-8 FGs), 11 rebounds, five assists and a three.

He just signed with Washington the other day since their roster is so thin right now. If you're looking to take a gamble on someone with an opportunity for at least a few games, you could do worse than Payton. Anzejs Pasecniks also picked up some slack in 20 minutes with 14 points (6-for-7 FGs, 2-for-4 FTs) and three rebounds in this one.
