  • Austin Rivers - G - Washington Wizards

Austin Rivers put up 18 points in Saturday's road win, logging 28 minutes off the bench and shooting 7-of-12 from the field.

Rivers didn't hit any threes but did add five rebounds, three dimes and a steal. He won't recapture last season's production unless one of Washington's starters gets hurt and is only a deep-league option.

Austin Rivers (neck spasms) scrimmaged on Friday.

He deferred to Tomas Satorasnky for the second unit and played mostly off the ball at the 2. It’s good to see he’s feeling better, but Rivers won’t have much chance to hit standard league value this year as long as the Wizards are healthy.

Austin Rivers was back at practice on Thursday.

Rivers left early on Tuesday because of neck spasms. He said he's been working in lineups with Bradley Beal and John Wall, so the Wizards could be looking to integrate more three-guard groups into their regular set of lineups this season. Rivers might be able to hold back, back-end value in standard formats this season but was only a late-round option last season in 30-plus mpg. We're not counting on a repeat but it isn't the craziest thought in the world.

  • Austin Rivers - G - Washington Wizards

Austin Rivers had neck spasms that forced him to leave practice early on Tuesday.

The injury is minor and Rivers will be back to practicing soon. He is slated to be the sixth man off the bench for the Wizards and will see between 20-25 minutes a game. The former Blue Devil is a scorer with sub-par percentages and thus can be taken towards the end of drafts and there isn't much upside unless an injury befalls the Wizards backcourt.

  • Austin Rivers - PG/SG - Los Angeles Clippers

Austin Rivers played through an elbow injury in Wednesday's season finale but turned in a brutal effort, scoring one point with six assists and a steal while missing all nine shots from the floor.

Rivers only played in 61 games this season, though 18 of those were a result of a right Achilles strain right around the new year. A December concussion cost him two games and he missed the penultimate game of the year with a sore elbow before returning to face the Lakers. The brittle nature of the Clippers backcourt really helped him out, as he was able to finish as a top-125/140 option in 8/9-cat formats this year, carried largely by 4.0 assists, 2.2 triples, 1.2 steals and 15.1 points per game — all career-highs. That was enough to outweigh spotty efficiency, though it is worth nothing that he averaged just 0.6 steals per game in 2016-17 in only six fewer minutes a night. On the full season Rivers landed just outside the top-160 but was a standard league play whenever he was healthy.

  • Austin Rivers - SG - Los Angeles Clippers

Austin Rivers will return to the lineup on Wednesday for the Clippers.

Rivers should resume his normal heavy minute load in the final game of the season. Obviously, it doesn't have any implications for the Clippers so this doesn't have any long-term bearing.

Austin Rivers (elbow soreness) went through shootaround and is likely to play on Wednesday against the Lakers.

Rivers has scored in double figures for 26 of the last 28 games so he makes for a fairly safe DFS option against a high-paced and stat-generous Lakers squad. It is the last game of the season so he isn't likely to play heavy minutes, but should still end up with a decent line.

Austin Rivers is questionable to face the Lakers in Wednesday's season finale.

Rivers didn't play on Monday and the Clippers probably won't send him out there for a meaningless tilt, though it might be more of a gesture for the fans in the final home game than anything else. Don't count on him for tomorrow.

Austin Rivers, initially listed as questionable, will not play on Monday night and may not suit up in Wednesday's season finale.

There's no reason for the Clippers to play him if he's hurt, so we'd be shocked to see him again this year. He's carved out late-round value this year though that was undoubtedly helped along by all of L.A.'s injuries. Tyrone Wallace will be getting plenty of run over these next two games.

  • Austin Rivers - PG/SG - Los Angeles Clippers

Austin Rivers (sore right elbow) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game.

The Clippers are out of the playoffs, so there's no sense in pushing any of their veteran players if there's even a minor injury. Tyrone Wallace and C.J. Williams will pick up a ton of run the rest of the way, and Wallace is looking like a strong add in pretty much all leagues. While Rivers would remain a solid late-round option if he plays, it'll be very tough to trust him.

Austin Rivers (elbow) has been listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Pelicans.

Rivers has dealt with various injuries this season and has produced top-135 value in 60 games played. He's mainly a deep league option, but we'll reevaluate his situation coming into next season.
