Cleveland Cavs have signed undrafted rookie Billy Preston to a two-way contract.
Preston most recently played in Bosnia for a few games but ended up leaving the team because of shoulder discomfort. The 6'10 forward went to Kansas last year but did not play due to eligibility issues. Coach coach Bill Self proclaimed that Preston is a first-round talent and said that multiple teams have told him that. The former high school All-American put up nine points, four rebounds, two steals and a triple in 19 minutes in the Cavs' first Summer League game. He may spend most of the year in the G-League but should get a shot eventually on the Cavs' thin front-court.

The Cavs have agreed to a deal with former five-star recruit Billy Preston.
Preston went undrafted after spending a year in Bosnia. He was supposed to attend Kansas but was held out for eligibility issues. There are nice reviews out there for his rebounding and shot blocking but he wasn't regarded as someone with a great basketball IQ and it might be tough to project anything from his lone year overseas. We'll see what the Cavs development staff has in store.
