  • Christian Wood
    PF, Detroit Pistons

Christian Wood (left knee) will not play on Friday vs. the Celtics.

Wood has been a per-minute machine as he is just outside the top 200 in per-game value despite only averaging 15.4 minutes per-game. With Blake Griffin doubtful with a knee injury, Markieff Morris and Thon Maker will see more run while we could see a monster line from Andre Drummond.

Blake Griffin is doubtful to play against the Celtics on Friday as he continues to be hampered by a sore left knee.

Griffin played on Wednesday night, which surprised many analysts. It appears unlikely that he will be available on Friday. If he does not play, Markieff Morris makes for an interesting DFS/Streaming play while Derrick Rose will see a significant increase in usage.

Blake Griffin (right knee) returned from a one-game absence on Wednesday night and delivered 15 points, two rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a 3-pointer in a 99-112 loss.

Griffin only missed one game but he is clearly ailing. He was surprisingly passive tonight despite taking 13 shots, and the Pistons have started finding ways to hide him on low-usage offensive players at the other end of the floor. The knee problems don't look to be going away soon, and hopefully they won't prevent him from at least grabbing rebounds, considering the well-known issues with the rest of Griffin's fantasy stat set. He also went 1-of-5 from deep on a night where Detroit was a ghastly 6-for-35 as a team. Griffin is well outside the top-200 in value so far, and a sell-high trade might be in order if he can stay healthy enough to rip off a couple vintage games.

Blake Griffin (knee) is available for Wednesday's matchup vs. the Raptors.

Griffin will return to the court after a one-game absence. It is encouraging to see that his knee injury didn't linger as he had already missed the first 10 games of the season and 13 overall. Griffin has truly disappointed this season and is definitely someone that fantasy players should look at trading after he strings together a few good contests. Griffin's return will lower the value of Markieff Morris and Christian Wood.

Blake Griffin (knee) is being listed as questionable to play against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Dwane Casey said that he believes both Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond (questionable) will suit up. We should get confirmation closer to tip-off. Markieff Morris and Christian Wood would see their values take a hit should both return.

  • Andre Drummond
    C, Detroit Pistons

Dwane Casey was optimistic about Andre Drummond (eye inflammation) and Blake Griffin (knee) being able to play on Wednesday against the Raptors, but wouldn't commit to declaring them active at this time.

It sounds like Drummond is over the eye avocado incident, while Griffin was seen getting some one-on-one work during Tuesday's practice. If either one or both can return Christian Wood's and Markieff Morris' short value burst will take a big hit.

Andre Drummond will not play on Monday due to eye inflammation.

The avocado strikes again. Christian Wood is an excellent DFS play with Drummond and Blake Griffin unavailable against the Wizards.

Blake Griffin will not play during Monday's game due to left knee soreness.

Griffin hasn't looked like himself recently. He left Saturday's game early and had a precautionary MRI on Sunday. Griffin missed the early part of the season due to a knee issue as well, but Pistons coach Dwane Casey says that the team is just being cautious. Christian Wood should receive more minutes in the interim.

Adrian Wojnarowski speculates that the Pistons could look to break up their Blake Griffin-Andre Drummond frontcourt pairing via trade this season.

Griffin never quite fit the Pistons' timeline for a rebuild despite his heroic effort for the team in the 2018-19 season and Andre Drummond has a player option which, if exercised, would vault him to the top of the 2020 free agent class. Griffin could still fetch something of value in a trade if his ongoing knee issue is minor and depending on the rest of the PF trade market. Drummond, however, is in a strange position where it's not clear to what extent the team believes him to be a core piece of their future and no potential suitors have emerged for his services on the trade market. Regardless, the Pistons will be hard-pressed to contend with their current roster construction and a trade seems likely. Should either of these players get traded, Christian Wood will be a hot pickup with the proverbial "league-winning" upside.

Blake Griffin (left knee soreness) is questionable ahead of Monday's tilt with the Wizards.

Griffin left Saturday's contest and was unable to return, though the injury might've been bothering him from tip as he shot 0-for-7 in his 15 minutes. Christian Wood would be the big fantasy pickup if Griffin misses time, though Dwane Casey figures to confound fantasy GMs by giving Markieff Morris the biggest bump in playing time.

Blake Griffin left Saturday's game with left knee soreness and will not return.

Blake Griffin went to the locker room early and returned to the game but ultimately had to leave the game for good with left knee soreness. Griffin finished Saturday with two points on 0-of-7 shooting with two rebounds in 15 minutes. If Griffin misses extended time he could be a tough hold without an IR spot. He was just outside the top-250 in 9-cat per game value before Saturday. Christian Wood is a player to watch and could be worth rostering if he gets 25 minutes per game. Andre Drummond will also see a boost in value if Griffin misses time.

Blake Griffin returned to Pistons' bench on Saturday and appears to not be injured.

Griffin has a long injury history, and him exiting the game was a scare but he appears to be fine.

Blake Griffin forgot to show up for the game in Mexico City on Thursday night, finishing with 10 points, three assists and five assists on 3-of-16 shooting as the Pistons fell 122-111 to the Mavericks.

Clearly Griffin didn't get the memo that the game was going to be in Mexico and he forgot to show up. This poor performance has been a consistent tale while Griffin is actually playing. He's currently sitting just inside the top-250 in 9-category formats, which is incredibly hard to stomach. We don't really have an option except to hold and be sad.

  • Kristaps Porzingis
    PF-C, Dallas Mavericks

Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 points on Thursday night against the Pistons to go along with eight rebounds and three blocked shots in 30 minutes of action.

Porzingis did a good job defending the rim and limiting damage from Blake Griffin in this contest, and the rest of the line was… good enough. We have to remember that he's coming off a major injury and should get closer to top-50 value at least as we move forward. The buy-low window will close if we wait too long.
