Boban Marjanovic

Fantasy News

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Dallas Mavericks

Boban Marjanovic went for 16 points on 6-for-9 shooting and eight rebounds on Friday.

Marjanovic tends to put up numbers when he gets minutes, but his minutes are never predictable so it's pretty tough to find a use for him in fantasy.

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic
    SG, Sacramento Kings

Bogdan Bogdanovic finished with 32 points on 10-of-17 shooting and drained seven triples as Serbia topped Czech Republic 90-81 to finish in 5th place.

Bogdanovic also added four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block and was certainly one of the most impressive players in the tournament. Although he has the talent to be a successful full-time starter, the 27-year old will likely be relegated to a similar 25-27 minute, off-the-bench role he played last season with Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and newly added Trevor Ariza also on the wings. Nikola Jokic also did his usual thing this game with seven points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. Boban Marjanovic and Nemanja Bejlica were not really involved in this one, playing only two and eight minutes, respectively.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Dallas Mavericks

Boban Marjanovic played just two minutes and registered three fouls and two turnovers, as Serbia lost to Argentina 97-87 in the World Cup Tournament.

Bobi committed a couple offensive fouls as Argentina went small-ball and made it difficult for the big guy to stay on the floor. Marjanovic played a lot in the first four games but he wasn’t a factor against Spain and Argentina finishing with averages of 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds for the entire event. He is expected to be the backup center in Dallas and the Mavs are likely to use him based on the nightly matchups, making him an inconsistent fantasy option.

  • Nikola Jokic
    C, Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic put up 14 points and 10 boards in 16 minutes of action as Serbia routed Puerto Rico 90-47 on Friday.

Jokic is always so quietly excellent, and he doesn't need to show off in heavy minutes against these weaker opponents. His teammate Boban Marjanovic was fantastic as well in a light 16 minutes with 16 points, four boards and a no-look assist.

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic
    SG, Sacramento Kings

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 24 points with five triples in 20 minutes as Serbia beat Angola 105-59 to kick off the FIBA World Cup.

No one needed to play big minutes in this one as Serbia cruised with an easy win. Nikola Jokic also contributed with 14 points, five rebounds, six assists and three triples in 22 mintues while Boban Marjanovic double-doubled with 10 points, 12 rebounds and a block in 17 minutes.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs have officially announced the signing of Boban Marjanović to a two-year, $7 million deal.

The Mavs will have two 7'3" bigs on their team as Kristaps Porzingis will be playing his first games in a Mavs uniform this season. Boban has been a reliable big off the bench for all four franchises that he has played for. However, he has never eclipsed the 14.0 mpg mark and therefore, will not sustain fantasy value. He is someone to look at in DFS matchups depending on matchups and injuries.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Dallas Mavericks

Boban Marjanovic has agreed to a two-year, $7 million deal with the Mavs according to Shams Charania.

The Bobi and Tobi show comes to a sad end, but Marjanovic is a nice depth pickup for the Mavs. He'll give the team way more size than they currently have and can be used to turn the tide on the glass considering most of Dallas' current frontcourt mix is on the thinner or shorter side. We wouldn't anticipate Boban getting enough minutes to sustain fantasy value, sadly.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Bobaj Marjanovic believes he should, "almost 90 percent," re-sign with the Sixers this offseason.

Take this with a large grain of salt as there are a lot of moving parts with the Sixers financial books this summer. Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and J.J. Redick are sure to be at the top of the list, as well as other max players in case they strike out retaining their same core and more frontcourt depth. Marjanovic could certainly re-sign with the Sixers, but he is not a priority for them.

  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday’s Game 4 vs. the Nets.

This news isn’t surprising seeing as Embiid missed Game 3 due to the knee pain. With the Sixers up 2-1 in the first round series, Embiid could sit out another one. Greg Monroe, who started Game 3, Jonah Bolden and Boban Marjanovic would be the prime beneficiaries with Amir Johnson also in line to pick up a few minutes.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Boban Marjanovic scored 14 points and pulled down eight minutes before fouling out in 18 minutes on Thursday.

Marjanovic was dominating on limited playing time as usual but fouled out because he doesn't quite know what to do with his arms. He gets more run with Embiid hobbled, obviously, but it's always a fun time when he's involved.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Boban Marjanovic went for 16 points (8-of-14 FGs), eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 18 minutes in Monday's Game 2 win over the Nets.

It seemed like Marjanovic couldn't miss, hitting plenty of open mid-range jumpers. He's another center that the Nets don't really have an answer for at this point. Boban was the first sub off the bench, but he may not get as many minutes on Thursday since tonight's minutes were padded by a bit of garbage time.

  • Boban Marjanovic
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Boban Marjanovic was one of the lone bright spots in Game 1 for the Sixers as they fell to the Nets 111-102.

Bobi had 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting with three boards, four assists, one steal and one block. While he only played 13 minutes, his play will be vital in this series with Joel Embiid (knee) not anywhere near 100%.

  • Jonah Bolden
    F, Philadelphia Sixers

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) partially participated in Friday’s practice and is listed as questionable to play on Saturday vs. the Nets.

With Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) listed as doubtful for Saturday’s contest, the Sixers really could use Bolden out there if he’s able to go. If not, we’ll see some Amir Johnson and Boban Marjanovic.
