    G, San Antonio Spurs

Brandon Paul, who was just waived by the San Antonio Spurs, has become a target for Barcelona and Baskonia in Liga ACB in Spain.

Paul is already familiar with the Spanish league as he played for Joventut Badalona in the 2015-16 season. The Spurs had to waive him before his deal became guaranteed in August 1st and by doing so they were able to save $1.37 million dollars. Paul is still only 27 years old and he should receive heavy interest from teams overseas. Even if he’s able to find another opportunity in the NBA he won’t be having any fantasy value whatsoever.

The Spurs have waived guard Brandon Paul.

Paul appeared in 64 games for the Spurs last season but averaged only 9.0 minutes a night. While the Spurs lost a few guard types this summer, Paul wasn't expected to make any significant dent in the rotation.

The Spurs are still undecided on whether or not they'll pick up Brandon Paul's $1.3 million deal for next season.

Paul was a depth guard for San Antonio but there's room for improvement this year with Tony Parker and Danny Green gone and Manu Ginobili's return up in the air. He's likely still behind Bryn Forbes and possibly even Derrick White in the pecking order, however, so there's no reason to think about Paul for fantasy purposes if he ends up returning to the Spurs.

    PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs

Brandon Paul scored 10 points with one rebound and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes of action off the bench in Wednesday's finale against the Pelicans.

Paul played in 64 games and flashed some athleticism and scoring ability at times, but played just 9.0 mpg and didn't really hit the radar in fantasy leagues.
