Cheick Diallo

Fantasy News

  • Frank Kaminsky
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Frank Kaminsky (right patella stress fracture) is out indefinitely and will be reevaluated in four weeks.

Kaminsky has been on the injury report for a couple weeks with knee soreness and has missed the last three games so it's very likely this stems from that. Although he has played 22.4 minutes per game on the season, his playing was expected to drastically decrease anyway with Deandre Ayton back. There should be no fantasy implications here as Cheick Diallo will likely replace him as the third string center in the meantime with Aron Baynes maybe getting a slight additional boost as well.

Frank Kaminsky (right knee soreness) is questionable to play against the Rockets on Saturday.

Kaminsky played only 11 minutes in Friday's game after putting together four straight quality lines prior to that. With Deandre Ayton ruled out and Dario Saric questionable, Kaminsky has a chance for good minutes if he does play. Otherwise, we may see Cheick Diallo getting the backup center minutes behind Aron Baynes with Cameron Johnson getting some extra minutes at the four.

  • Frank Kaminsky
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Frank Kaminsky followed his season-high 23 points with a 20-point, six rebound performance on Thursday night.

Kaminsky took advantage of the absence of Aron Baynes yet again. This should continue to be the case for him with Baynes absent. Unfortunately, Cheick Diallo only played 11 minutes to accrue his eight points and four rebounds despite the overtime, so it doesn't look like Diallo will have a bankable role.

  • Aron Baynes
    C, Phoenix Suns

Aron Baynes has been downgraded to out for Thursday's tilt vs. the Pelicans.

Including Thursday's game, Baynes has only played in one game over the last nine. Frank Kaminsky and Cheick Diallo will continue to get more opportunity for as long as Baynes remains out.

Cheick Diallo (illness) will be available for Wednesday's game.

Aron Baynes is still out, which means that Diallo has a chance to put up some numbers. Despite playing very little for most of the season, he has scored in double figures during two of his last three games.

Cheick Diallo (illness) is being listed as probable to play against the Magic on Wednesday.

Aron Baynes is sitting this one out, so Diallo will see added opportunities in this one. Diallo makes for an intriguing cheap DFS punt play in this one with his per-minute numbers and Frank Kaminsky's pedestrian play of late.

Cheick Diallo (illness) will join the Suns in Orlando ahead of Wednesday's game against the Magic after missing Monday's game with the Hornets.

Diallo may see extended minutes for this game if Aron Baynes (calf) is unable to go. Be sure to check back in before the games on Wednesday.

  • Aron Baynes
    C, Phoenix Suns

Aron Baynes (right hip flexor) returned from a five-game absence on Friday, posting 17 points (7-for-12 FG), seven rebounds and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes in a 113-120 loss to the Mavs.

Baynes' return predictably ended the fun for the rest of the frontcourt, with Cheick Diallo logging just four minutes and Frank Kaminsky scoring seven points in 16 minutes. Baynes should go right back into all fantasy lineups.

  • Cheick Diallo
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Cheick Diallo had another strong outing on Wednesday with 17 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes.

Diallo took advantage of the absence of Aron Baynes once again, hitting seven of his eight shots en route to this double-double. This is a DFS option as long as Baynes is out, but it seems unlikely that he's going to be any more than that once this team is healthy.

  • Aron Baynes
    C, Phoenix Suns

Aron Baynes (hip flexor) is being listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

With Baynes missing another game, it will be Cheick Diallo and Frank Kaminsky handling Center duties, while Mikal Bridges will continue to see more time in small-ball lineups. Diallo is coming off a 22 point game against the Nuggets on Sunday.

  • Aron Baynes
    C, Phoenix Suns

Aron Baynes (hip flexor) was limited in Tuesday's practice, and his status for Wednesday's game against the Wizards remains iffy.

Teammate Ricky Rubio is expected to play on Wednesday, but Baynes isn't as likely to return. Frank Kaminsky has started in Baynes' absence, but it was Cheick Diallo who played 36 minutes and put up 22 points, six rebounds and one block against the Nuggets on Sunday.

  • Cheick Diallo
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Cheick Diallo dropped a career-high 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting in a 116-104 loss to the Nuggets on Sunday.

With Aron Baynes and Deandre Ayton out, the opportunity was given to Diallo and he played great. He saw 36 minutes and added six rebounds and one block to the box score. He is a solid DFS start if both Baynes and Ayton are out, and monitor whether or not this performance grants him an increased role in the Suns' rotation.

  • Aron Baynes
    C, Phoenix Suns

Aron Baynes (right hip contusion) will not play in Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

Baynes has been instrumental to the Suns' early season success and they missed him on Tuesday as they lost to the Kings. Frank Kaminsky, Dario Sarić and Cheick Diallo will get more opportunity while Baynes remains out.

  • Cheick Diallo
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Cheick Diallo logged two minutes in Wednesday's game, scoring two points while picking up two fouls in a quiet team debut.

Diallo has always been an interesting per-minute guy but the fact that he's fourth on the depth chart doesn't bode well. We'll circle back if some injuries strike.

  • Cheick Diallo
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Cheick Diallo has officially signed a two-year contract with the Suns.

Diallo has always been intriguing but he has never seen enough minutes to provide consistent value. He is off the radar heading into the season, but could be a cheap option in DFS depending on the matchup.
