Cory Joseph

Fantasy News

  • Cory Joseph
    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph (left heel bruise) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's tilt against the Nets.

Joseph has been starting in place of the injured De'Aaron Fox and if Joseph misses this contest, the Kings will look to Yogi Ferrell to start in his place. Joseph's teammate, Bogdan Bogdanović is also questionable for Friday's game with left hamstring tightness. The guys that are able to play will see plenty of opportunity as the Kings have gotten the injury bug in the early-going this season.

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic
    SG, Sacramento Kings

Bogdan Bogdanović is listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Nets with left hamstring tightness.

Bogdanović has performed very well with the absence of De'Aaron Fox and should continue to see plenty of opportunity if he is able to play. If he ends up sitting out, expect Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes to see all the opportunity they can handle while Yogi Ferrell, Trevor Ariza and Cory Joseph will be asked to take on more of the offensive load. Rookie Kyle Guy could even see his first minutes of his career with all of the injuries that the Kings are dealing with.

    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph delivered a career-high 14 assists in 39 minutes in the Kings' 120-116 win over the Suns on Tuesday.

Joseph added six points on 2-of-5 shooting, five rebounds, a steal and two blocks in his fourth consecutive start. Joseph traditionally provides very low per-minute stats, so when he doesn't get near 40 minutes, his numbers aren't quite so palatable. Until De'Aaron Fox returns, Joseph is a low-end starting point guard for those desperate for assists.

  • Cory Joseph
    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph finished Friday's loss to the Lakers with two points, five rebounds and five assists on 1-of-9 from the field in 23 minutes.

Joseph is going to grind out some of those popcorn numbers but he's a top-200 option at best, even when starting. Yogi Ferrell brings more firepower to the table but has a much lower floor, so knock yourself out with this situation.

  • Cory Joseph
    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph had just three points on 1-of-6 shooting but added four rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and a three in 38 minutes as he started in De'Aaron Fox's place on Tuesday.

Joseph gave us the reminder that he just doesn't put up many offensive stats even when he gets a lot of minutes. He might be worth streaming for steals and assists, but he's not your typical backup point guard when it comes to replacement fantasy value.

  • Cory Joseph
    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph is expected to start in place of De'Aaron Fox against the Blazers on Tuesday.

Joseph and Bogdan Bogdanovic will pick up most of the slack while Fox is out for the forseeable future, with Yogi Ferrell seeing some added run as well.

  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

De'Aaron Fox's MRI confirmed a left ankle sprain he sustained at the end of practice and the plan is to reevaluate him in three-to-four weeks.

The injuries keep coming for some of the most exciting young players in the league. Fox has started slowly and this injury only makes him a stronger buy-low target. Look for Cory Joseph and Bogdan Bogdanovic to pick up most of the slack.

  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

De'Aaron Fox sprained an ankle during practice on Monday, but the severity is unknown.

We'll have to wait for further updates. Cory Joseph and Bogdan Bogdanovic would likely step in if Fox has to miss time.

    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph had his most effective game of the season on Friday night, dropping nine points, four rebounds, four assists, a 3-pointer and two blocks in 29 minutes.

Joseph was one of the leaders of an effective bench unit tonight and helped get Sacramento's offense in a little rhythm. He's only averaging 15.8 mpg this season, and we wouldn't expect this to become a frequent occurrence. If it does, it could throw a wrench into things for the Kings' standard-league guys, but we'll only worry about that if we have to.

  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

De'Aaron Fox is still a game-time decision on Saturday vs. the Jazz.

Fox has been dealing with a hip and knee injury. If the Kings opt to rest Fox, Cory Joseph will get the start according to coach Luke Walton.

    PG, Sacramento Kings

Cory Joseph took advantage of some De'Aaron Fox foul trouble in his Kings debut on Wednesday, chipping in 10 points, four assists, a steal and a block in 21 minutes of action.

Fox only logged 27 minutes, so this should represent a high-water mark of sorts for CoJo's playing time. Still, he's the sort of steady hand that can crank out boring, top-200ish value like this, so give him a look if that floats your boat.

  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

The Kings had a healthy roster on Friday, with De'Aaron Fox (sore lower back), Dewayne Dedmon (illness), Corey Joseph (calf) and Trevor Ariza (lipoma excision) all full participants at practice.

The team is rounding into form with the regular season around the corner. This roster comes with a decent amount of depth which could keep typical fantasy-relevant names, such as Dedmon, Ariza and Joseph, from reaching their full potential.

  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

De'Aaron Fox (sore lower back) got in some non-contact work at practice along with teammates Dewayne Dedmon (illness) and Cory Joseph (calf) while Trevor Ariza (lipoma excision) returned to practice.

This is good news for the Kings as they look like they will be near full strength when the regular season begins. Expect all four players to be healthy enough to play opening night barring a major setback.

    PG, Sacramento Kings

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Cory Joseph (sore calf) says that he's feeling better and expects to be ready for the Kings' season opener.

Joseph had been dealing with both the calf injury and an illness that apperently has been going around the Kings' locker room. It still seems like he won't get in on preseason action, putting him a tad behind on meshing with his new team. He should really only be a backup PG this year and holds no fantasy value.

Cory Joseph (sore calf) will not play in Monday's preseason game versus the Jazz.

This comes by no surprise as Joseph was recently ruled out due to his sore calf, but it also appears that he picked up a stomach bug as well. Joseph is expected to be De'Aaron Fox's primary back up.
