The Pacers battled a devastating injury and fought til the end

Luke Walton said that Cory Joseph (sore calf) could miss the rest of the preseason.
Joseph was brought in to be a high-minute backup that can help De'Aaron Fox learn the ropes as he continues to ascend, and we're not all that worried about him once the games start to matter. There's late-round appeal in deep formats with CoJo, but unless you're looking for a top-225 guy you should be able to do better. Yogi Ferrell stands to benefit most while Joseph is out.

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) and Cory Joseph (illness) were both held out of practice on Wednesday.
Dedmon and Joseph may have picked up this illness while traveling to India for a couple of preseason games. This isn't serious but it is worth noting that Joseph is also dealing with a calf issue.

Harry Giles (sore knee) and Cory Joseph (sore calf) have been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Suns.
Giles has the potential for more, but is currently in a logjam at C for the Kings and doesn't hold much value in standard leagues. Joseph will back up De'Aaron Fox at the point and is off the fantasy radar in standard leagues.

Richaun Holmes (sore groin) will not play against the Pacers on Saturday.
This is the first we are hearing about Holmes’ injury but hopefully it is not serious and another update is sure to follow. He put up 10 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 19 minutes off the bench in Friday’s preseason opener. Trevor Ariza and Cory Joseph are also being held out of today’s game but neither has an injury designation, unlike Holmes.

Cory Joseph led the way for Canada on Thursday scoring a game-high 24 points with three treys and two steals against Senegal on Thursday.
A few weeks back, there was some question whether Joseph would be suiting up for Canada, but luckily for the team, he is one of the few NBA players still healthy enough to compete. Canada was eliminated before this game after starting 0-2, but this will still feel nice for them.

Nick Nurse said that reports of Cory Joseph missing the FIBA World Cup are “incorrect”.
Nurse added that he spoke to Joseph on Wednesday and that the guard has his flights booked to China. Joseph was in Canada’s camp at home earlier this month, but did not make the trip to Australia and has missed the past four exhibition games. The situation has become a little bit murky but Canada Basketball keeps holding out hope that Joseph will rejoin the team before they depart for China, which doesn’t happen until Monday.

Cory Joseph is not expected to play for Team Canada in the FIBA World Cup.
Team Canada has been taking a beating the last few weeks with NBA guys continuing to pull out. This news won't have any effects on Joseph's role heading into the season, but it does create another dent in Team Canada's chances of making noise in the World Cup.

The Kings have announced the signing of Cory Joseph.
Joseph will make for a nice fit off the bench in Sacramento and can certainly help De'Aaron Fox learn the ropes a little bit as he continues his rise to stardom. CoJo may overcrowd the backcourt and push Bogdan Bogdanovic to a suboptimal position, however, so it'll all depend on how the minutes get divvied up. Look for Joseph to deliver the same sort of top-200 fantasy value as usual.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Kings and Cory Joseph have agreed to a three-year, $37 million deal.
Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that the third year has a partial guarantee, which is pretty much Vlade's go-to move. The Kings have two guards in De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield that will both play 32-33 mpg, and Bogdan Bogdanovic isn't a great option at small forward so this is kind of a mess. That said, Joseph brings hard nose defense and will be a lower-usage guy, so he fits on those levels. If the Kings found a way to reduce some of this clutter, it would be a better deal, but it's a nice get in their quest to make the playoffs.

The Suns, Wizards, Kings and Bulls are among the teams that have shown interest in Cory Joseph, per Shams Charania.
Point-guard-needy teams should be all over Joseph, as he can be a cost-effective backup and acceptable fill-in starter to help any young players learn the ropes. CoJo figures to get more interest as the top guards on the market sign on, as his game fits with just about any team — from rebuilds to contenders.

Cory Joseph led the Pacers in scoring with 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting with two boards and an assist in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Celtics.
Joseph, who has never missed the playoffs in his entire career, seemed like the only Pacer who was mildly ready to play in this one. He was the only player to shoot above 50% (other than Aaron Holiday's 1-for-1). The Pacers are going to have a rough time if Joseph is their leading scorer going forward.

Cory Joseph played 21 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's close win over the Hawks, finishing with six points, two assists and two steals.
Many expected Joseph to be a guy who could see more opportunity after Victor Oladpio left a star shaped hole in the Pacers’ backcourt following his injury. Interestingly enough though, the veteran guard saw no additional playing time and had a noticeable drop in fantasy value after Oladpio was out of the lineup, going from being a top-160 player in 9-cat and 8-cat to being outside the top-200 in value in the games since the injury. He will be a free agent this offseason, but even if he finds a new home, we don’t see him making much of a fantasy impact.

Cory Joseph had seven points, eight assists, four rebounds and one steal on Friday night.
Joseph got the start with Darren Collison out and didn't do much other than the assists. It was a rough night overall for the Pacers, but Nate McMillan mentioned they may rest starters moving forward which could mean added opportunities for Joseph in the final games.
April 5, 2019, 6:10 pmDarren CollisonG, Indiana Pacers
Darren Collison (sore groin) will not play on Friday vs. the Celtics while Wes Matthews (right hamstring strain) will be available to play.
Cory Joseph is looking at a start with Collison out but he’s not the best option considering the Celtics remain one of the best NBA defenses.
