D.J. Wilson

Fantasy News

  • Pat Connaughton
    SG, Milwaukee Bucks

Pat Connaughton got another start on Thursday, his third consecutive start, but didn't provide much at all with just two points, one rebound, one steal and one turnover in 16 minutes.

D.J. Wilson was much more impressive but he did most of his work in the second half when the Bucks emptied their bench. Wilson finished the day with 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, two 3-pointers and one turnover in 30 minutes. Connaughton and Wilson will go back to having limited roles in the postseason as the Bucks look to win their first NBA Championship since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar led them there in 1971.

D.J. Wilson and Pat Connaughton find themselves in the starting lineup on Thursday vs. the Grizzlies alongside Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton.

Wilson gets the start as the team is without Giannis Antetokounmpo (suspension) and Ersan Ilyasova (elbow) while Connaughton replaces George Hill (rest) in the lineup. They should both see an increase in value in this last contest of the season and the three regular starters may see fewer minutes in the second half.

D.J. Wilson started the second half of Tuesday's game for an ejected (flagrant foul 2) Giannis Antetokounmpo and was able to produce 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting plus five rebounds and one trey on the night.

His lack of defensive contributions and low rebounding output left a lot to be desired, especially considering Wilson got a lot of extra time on the floor, thanks to the Antetokounmpo ejection. Wilson can be left on the wire.

  • D.J. Wilson
    PF, Milwaukee Bucks

D.J. Wilson went 3-of-11 from the field on his way to eight points and six rebounds in 14 minutes during Tuesday's loss.

Wilson scored all eight of his points in the final quarter as the Bucks pushed hard for the victory. Running their bench unit for the entire second half, they eventually fell three points short of the Nets. Wilson demonstrated he is not afraid to let fly when given the opportunity, keeping the Bucks competitive down the stretch. On most nights, Wilson will barely feature in the rotation and he can be left on the waivers in almost every format.

  • D.J. Wilson
    PF, Milwaukee Bucks

In his third season with the Bucks, D.J. Wilson averaged just 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.5 triples in 31 games and 9.0 minutes per game, returning 431/437 value in 8/9-cat leagues on a per-game basis.

Wilson was bothered by a left hamstring injury but more importantly he failed to earn coach Bud’s trust and remained out of the rotation for the most part of the year. He is a versatile forward who can even play some minutes as a center and it remains to be seen how long will the Bucks continue to develop him. Keep him on your radar only in dynasty formats.

  • Robin Lopez
    C, Milwaukee Bucks

Robin Lopez (illness) is listed as questionable to play on Saturday versus the Nets.

Lopez has been off the fantasy map this year while playing only 14.3 minutes per game. If he does sit out, expect Ersan Ilyasova and D.J. Wilson to split his minutes.

  • Robin Lopez
    C, Milwaukee Bucks

Robin Lopez (rest) will sit out on Tuesday when the Bucks take on the Knicks.

There will be no revenge game for the backup Lopez twin this time. This is Lopez's first missed game of the season, so it's not totally clear how the Bucks will handle it. D.J. Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova should be in line for at least a few more minutes on Tuesday.

DJ Wilson feasted in garbage time on Monday and recorded a career-high 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting with five rebounds and three treys in 24 minutes off the bench.

Sorry folks, but this was a garbage-time special. Wison is coming off an 11-point outing, so he's at best, a speculative add in 18-team leagues or deeper right now. Get ready to drop him once the Bucks get back to full health.

  • D.J. Wilson
    PF, Milwaukee Bucks

D.J. Wilson scored a season-high 11 points in Saturday's win over the Hornets, adding three rebounds, three assists and three 3's.

Wilson got an extended run in tonight's game due to the absence of teammate Brook Lopez as well as additional garbage time minutes. He should not be owned in any leagues.

  • Ersan Ilyasova
    PF, Milwaukee Bucks

Ersan Ilyasova (left heel soreness) is listed as out against the Pistons on Saturday.

Ilyasova has been rather quiet this season, playing a 15.8 minute per game role with a season-high of 21 minutes. D.J. Wilson will likely fill in for Ilyasova on Saturday but neither player is fantasy relevant at the moment.

D.J. Wilson (left hamstring soreness) is listed as out for Wednesday's preseason game vs. the Jazz.

Wilson doesn't project to have much fantasy value this year playing behind the twins Brook Lopez and Robin Lopez. He isn't on the fantasy radar right now.

If Wilson is able to return, he won't be more than bench depth.
