Damyean Dotson

Fantasy News

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Damyean Dotson's time with the Knicks could come to an end after this season and the Jazz, Bucks and Warriors are among the teams that are expected to have interest in signing Dotson for the 2020-21 campaign.

Dotson saw his role with the Knicks evaporate towards the end of the season as he received a DNP-CD for eight of the Knicks' final nine contests. Interim head coach, Mike Miller, chose to play veterans Wayne Ellington and Reggie Bullock over the 25-year-old that they drafted in the second round of the 2017 draft. Dotson will look to land in a situation that will give him a more consistent role as a three-and-D wing as he enters his fourth season in the association.

  • Mitchell Robinson
    C, New York Knicks

Mitchell Robinson (illness), Maurice Harkless (illness), Damyean Dotson (illness) and Allonzo Trier (illness) have all been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

It looks like the Knicks will be at full strength heading into their final game before the All-Star break. It will be interesting to see what Harkless's role will be moving forward. Robinson continues to be a prime buy-low option as we gear up for the stretch run in fantasy leagues.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson (right ankle sprain) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Dotson was probable heading into Sunday's game against the Hawks but ultimately didn't see the floor. The Knicks could choose to play it safe and give him an extended rest throughout the break. With Marcus Morris out of town, Dotson is someone to monitor in deeper leagues when he is healthy.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson (right ankle sprain) is being considered probable coming into Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

With Marcus Morris out of town, Dotson might have a few extra shots coming his way but it still won't be enough to warrant "must own" status. He's an intriguing deep league add as of right now.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson (right ankle sprain) is probable to take on the Pistons on Saturday.

Dotson has his moments on the Knicks but is not reliable by any means. With Marcus Morris shipped out of town he could have a few more opportunities, but he is still just a deep league play at this point.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

The Knicks have decided to hold Damyean Dotson (right ankle sprain) out of Thursday's game despite Dotson participating in Wednesday's practice.

Since Dotson was able to practice on Wednesday, his return should be right around the corner as the team likely exercised caution with this decision. The Knicks traded Marcus Morris at the deadline, so there may be a few extra minutes for Dotson, but he isn't a recommended target.

  • RJ Barrett
    SF, New York Knicks

RJ Barrett (right ankle sprain) practiced on Wednesday and has not been ruled out of Thursday's game.

Damyean Dotson could see his role diminish if Barrett is able to face the Magic. Barrett owners should keep an eye on his status for Thursday. The third overall pick has averaged 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds so far.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson (illness) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game.

Dotson has averaged 10.9 points over his last ten games while shooting 51.3 percent from deep. While he doesn't provide much else, he's a streaming option for owners needing threes when healthy.

  • Reggie Bullock
    SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock (illness) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers.

Entrenched as the starting shooting guard for the Knicks, Bullock is averaging 9.7 points in 25.1 minutes but his 1.5 triples and 1.2 steals give him some value in 14-16 team leagues. If he sits this one out, Damyean Dotson, Allonzo Trier and Wayne Ellington could all see increased minutes.

  • RJ Barrett
    SF, New York Knicks

R.J. Barrett (right ankle sprain) will remain out for at least another week.

The Knicks PR issued a medical update on Twitter that Barrett has progressed from crutches to a walking boot and will be re-evaluated in one week. The third overall pick missed the last four games and will miss at least the next three and quite possibly more. Damyean Dotson has made the most of his increased opportunity with top-80 value over the last three games averaging 16.7 points, 3.7 triples, 1.0 steals and a 58.1 field goal percentage in 25.2 minutes.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson caught fire off the bench on Friday, scoring 21 points (7-for-10 shooting), four triples, a rebound and a steal.

Dotson needed only 27 minutes to tie for the team lead in scoring. This was an unsustainable shooting display from Dotson coming on a night the Knicks were dealing with some injuries. Nothing to see here at this time.

  • Wayne Ellington
    SG, New York Knicks

Wayne Ellington (illness) is listed as questionable to face the 76ers on Saturday.

Ellington is averaging only 14.3 minutes per game this season but with R.J. Barrett already ruled out, Damyean Dotson could potentially see an increased opportunity and maybe even Allonzo Trier could work his way back into the rotation.

  • RJ Barrett
    SF, New York Knicks

RJ Barrett played just 14 minutes on Thursday against the Suns due to a right ankle injury, scoring seven points.

Barrett's injury was a big blow to what has been his best run of the season. He has been a late-round value over the last couple weeks as his scoring output has ticked up. We'll see if he'll miss time, in which case Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina could have more of an impact. Dotson had six points in 26 minutes and Ntilikina had two points (1-of-7 shooting) to go with six assists and three defensive counters in 24 minutes.

  • RJ Barrett
    SF, New York Knicks

RJ Barrett won't return to Thursday's game against the Suns after suffering a right ankle injury.

We'll have to see what the severity is for Barrett's injury. If he is forced to miss time, we may see an uptick in minutes for Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina.

  • Reggie Bullock
    SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock will not suit up against the Suns on Thursday as he nurses a sore neck.

Bullock has been able to get a high amount of steals (1.6 per-game) since joining the Knicks’ rotation after missing the first 33 games due to injury. He could be used as a dart throw streamer in standard leagues only if the goal is to acquire steals. Damyean Dotson, Wayne Ellington and Allonzo Trier could see additional opportunity with Bullock sidelined.
