The Cavs have waived guard Daniel Hamilton, forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, guard J.P. Macura and guard Sindarius Thornwell, General Manager Koby Altman announced on Tuesday.

The Cavs are loaded with guards so it makes sense to release all the above. Cleveland’s roster now stands at 16, including Dean Wade, who is on a two-way deal.

The Cavs have agreed to terms with swingman Daniel Hamilton, inking him to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Hamilton will get a shot at earning a roster spot on a rebuilding team. That said, it's more than likely he will end up seeing some time in the G-League. There's no fantasy value impact here. Sadly.

Daniel Hamilton started for Kent Bazemore (ankle) in Monday's loss to the Pacers, scoring eight points on 4-of-8 shooting with six rebounds and three assists in 16 minutes.

Hamilton will need to do much better than this to get on fantasy radars outside of 30-team formats.

Daniel Hamilton will start in place of the injured Kent Bazemore on Monday afternoon.

With Bazemore out for at least two weeks, deep-league owners should keep an eye on Hamilton to at least see where this goes. He's got long odds of making a dent in the fantasy landscape, but you never know. Alex Poythress, Vince Carter and Justin Anderson look like the more appealing options but perhaps Hamilton has some surprises in store.

The Hawks have recalled guard/forward Daniel Hamilton from the Erie BayHawks of the G-League.

Hamilton has only appeared in a couple games with the Hawks this year and offers nothing more than insurance in case someone gets injured. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Daniel Hamilton will be available against the Bulls on Saturday as he works his way back from a torn rotator cuff.

This is good timing for the Hawks who need all hands on deck with their rash of injuries. Hamilton may not get into the game but he will be available in case he's needed. Don't worry about him for fantasy purposes.

Daniel Hamilton will be re-evaluated in two weeks as he recovers from a tear in his right rotator cuff.

Hamilton had an MRI on September 11th that revealed the tear, although he opted for non-surgical treatment. His status should be updated in two weeks.

Daniel Hamilton is recovering from a right rotator cuff tear and will not play on Monday night.

Hamilton was recently involved in a swap of G-League rights but suffered a small tear in his rotator cuff in late September. He's hoping to avoid surgery.

The Thunder's G-League affiliate has acquired the Returning Player Rights of K.J. McDaniels.

They retained those rights from the Grand Rapids Drive in exchange for the Returning Player Rights of Daniel Hamilton, who signed with the Hawks this summer. That means that if Hamilton doesn't make Atlanta's roster he'd play with the Drive in the G-League, not the Erie Bayhawks. McDaniels surfaced with the Blazers a few months ago but remains without an NBA deal.

The Hawks have signed Daniel Hamilton to a one-year, guaranteed deal.

Hamilton was a two-way player for the Thunder last year so this is a nice step up. It's certainly possible that he figures into the reserve unit with the Hawks letting go of most of the youngsters that rotated in and out of the lineup down the stretch last season. Hamilton played just six games with OKC but averaged 16.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 triples across 45 G-League contests.

Daniel Hamilton scored 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals over 25 minutes in Saturday's Summer League win over the Nets.

Hamilton was the No. 56 pick in the 2016 draft and we need to see a lot more before buying into any Summer League numbers like this.
