Celtics GM Danny Ainge, who suffered a mild heart attack on Tuesday night, has since received medical attention and is expected to make a full recovery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ainge and his family at this time. Though any sort of heart attack is hard to consider mild, we are glad to hear that AInge is expected to make a full recovery. We'll update the story as further information passes along.

    Team, Boston Celtics

The Celtics are trying to trade into the top-5, per Sam Amick of USA Today.

Boston would like to get a deal done but would almost certainly need to part with Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, which they seem hesitant (at best) to do. The Celtics are no strangers to surprise moves so it's possible that they strike again, though moving from No. 27 into the top five without surrendering either of their two best youngsters would be Danny Ainge's greatest act of wizardry yet.

  • Kyrie Irving
    PG, Boston Celtics

Kyrie Irving may need a minor procedure on his knee in a future offseason, but is expected to be healthy for the playoffs.

The good thing for fantasy owners is he is expected to be “fresh and healthy” for the playoffs. He is questionable for Sunday’s game and may be rested a few games down the stretch but any game he plays, he should be in lineups.

    PG, Boston Celtics

Brad Stevens mentioned Kyrie Irving has not warmed up yet but the “expectation” is that he will play Thursday against Minnesota.

Danny Ainge also said this morning that he believes Irving’s knees will be a focus point for the rest of his career and the Celtics did not plan for him to play 82 games. This is nice to know now. As long as Irving does in fact suit up he is good to go for your lineups. Just hope Derrick Rose actually plays and is forced to guard Irving.
