Ekpe Udoh has agreed to a deal with the Beijing Ducks.

Udoh was Utah's backup center for the past two seasons, only really cracking the rotation whenever Rudy Gobert was hurt. The 32-year-old may have seen the last of the NBA, but it's always possible that he lands a similar role again if he posts big numbers overseas.

Ekpe Udoh is considering returning to Europe, according to EuroHoops.net.

Udoh has been Utah's backup center for the last two seasons and is getting major offers overseas, where he's been a EuroLeague champion and Final Four MVP. His decision won't affect any fantasy leagues.

Ekpe Udoh started for a resting Rudy Gobert in Wednesday's 137-143 OT loss to the Clippers and exploded for 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting with 13 rebounds (career-high), five assists and four blocks in 29 minutes.

A bunch of Jazz reserves and rookies had career nights tonight and Udoh was one of them. He's been mostly an afterthought in fantasy with top-420 8/9-cat per-game value in 50 games played this season, making tonight a sweet outlier to finish 2018-19 in style.

Ekpe Udoh (back spasms) is available for Monday night's game against the Thunder.

He had been listed as probable, but it looks like he's good to go tonight. He's off the fantasy radar at this point.

Ekpe Udoh (back spasms) will be available to play on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

There is no fantasy impact here as long as Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert are healthy.

Ekpe Udoh (back spasms) has been listed as doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

With Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors rolling, Udoh has no fantasy appeal at this time.

  • Rudy Gobert
    C, Utah Jazz

Rudy Gobert (right hamstring soreness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Wolves.

If Gobert can’t go, Derrick Favors will get all the run he can while Jae Crowder, Gorges Niang and Ekpe Udoh will all get to fill the gap behind Favors.

    C/F, Utah Jazz

The Jazz have decided to pick up the option on Ekpe Udoh's contract, meaning he'll be back with the team next season.

Udoh was a deep reserve for the Jazz last season but did draw some starts when Rudy Gobert was injured. The combined injury history of both Gobert and Derrick Favors leaves the door open a crack, but the presence of both pretty much relegates Udoh to spot starter. Owners in extremely deep leagues can keep Udoh in mind as a desperation blocks play, but otherwise his fantasy value is entirely dependent on the health of his teammates. If nothing else it's nice to see him make it back to the NBA after his early work led to a few seasons overseas.

    PF/C, Utah Jazz

Ekpe Udoh shot 1-for-1 for two points and a rebound in three minutes in a loss to the Blazers on Wednesday.

Udoh's only at top-230, which isn't bad for only 12.8 minutes a game. He's either fallen out of the rotation or the Jazz are saving him for the playoffs because his minutes have halved over the last two months at just 5.5 per. His days of fantasy relevance are probably behind him.

Ekpe Udoh will return to the Jazz lineup on Friday night after missing Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies for personal reasons. Udoh should go right back to being the primary backup to Rudy Gobert. Udoh…

Jonas Jerebko starting on Monday vs. Pacers
