Despite coming off the bench on Wednesday, Nikola Mirotic potted 16 points with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers against the Lakers. Mirotic still saw 30 minutes of playing time…

Emeka Okafor is being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game because of a sprained right ankle.
The injury cost him Sunday’s game, allowing Nikola Mirotic to start. While Niko’s value remains excellent and unchanged regardless of where he begins the games, Okafor’s absence did allow Cheick Diallo to get extra run and notch a big double-double. Diallo is going to be a short-term play for as long as Okafor is sidelined but might not produce enough to be worth your while outside of deep leagues.

Cheick Diallo registered his second double-double of the season on Sunday against the Mavericks, scoring 15 points with 13 boards while adding three steals and one assist.
Diallo finished last season with back-to-back double doubles but it’s taken him 34 games to get equal that total this season. Even with DeMarcus Cousins out Diallo hasn’t had a massive opportunity given the acquisition of Nikola Mirotic and the signing of Emeka Okafor.
March 4, 2018, 11:15 pmNikola MiroticPF, New Orleans Pelicans
Nikola Mirotic drew the start on Sunday against the Mavs and scored 24 points with six triples, five boards and a block.
Emeka Okafor was ruled out for today’s game so Mirotic moved back into the starting lineup for the Pelicans. Mirotic has been productive regardless of if he starts or comes off the bench so continue to roll him out there and expect him to be a top-80ish performer.

Emeka Okafor (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Mavs and Nikola Mirotic will start.
Mirotic’s value is the same whether he starts or not and he’s an early round asset.

Emeka Okafor is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Mavs because of a right ankle sprain.
Okafor was listed as probable yesterday, so this isn’t a great sign. While he’s grabbed hold of the starting center role, he doesn’t play a ton and is only worth using in deep leagues if you need some blocks and rebounds. If he were to sit, it seems likely that the Pelicans would reinsert Nikola Mirotic into the starting five. He was starting at power forward before the Pelicans plugged Okafor in against Detroit and then decided to keep rolling with it. He’d get a slight value bump but it’s not like you were sticking him on your bench anyway.

Emeka Okafor has popped up on the Pelicans injury report as probable for Sunday with a right ankle sprain.
Okafor has made an incredible comeback and now works as New Orleans’ starting center, though it hasn’t done much for fantasy owners outside of creating another deep streaming option for blocks. He’s expected to play tomorrow but we’ll keep you posted if he doesn’t.

Emeka Okafor lasted just four minutes in Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
We haven’t heard about an injury but whether it’s on that front or the consistency front fantasy owners can watch this action from the wire.
February 27, 2018, 12:35 amEmeka OkaforC, New Orleans Pelicans
Emeka Okafor needed just 19 minutes to score 14 points in Monday’s win over the Suns, adding four rebounds, a steal and a block while hitting all five of his shots from the field and 4-of-5 from the line.
This is the first time Okafor has scored 10 or more points since April 13th, 2013. His comeback has been pretty successful so far and he deserves plenty of credit for persevering after spending several seasons out of the league. Okafor seems locked in as the starting center even if he won’t get a ton of minutes, so deep league owners in need of a big man can make an add at this point.
February 26, 2018, 9:47 amEmeka OkaforC, New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans are expected to sign Emeka Okafor for the remainder of the season.
Okafor has appeared in six games since signing a 10-day contract with the Pelicans and is averaging 3.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. The 35-year-old center has a role for the rest of the season, but has very little value in fantasy leagues outside of being a block specialist in deeper leagues.

February 24, 2018, 2:27 amEmeka OkaforC, New Orleans Pelicans
Emeka Okafor started and scored two points with seven rebounds and five blocks in Friday’s overtime win against the Heat.
Okafor did his damage in 18 minutes and during his five-game comeback he has averaged 4.0 points, 6.4 boards and 2.4 blocks in 16.2 mpg. That’s good for top 150-175 value (9/8 cat) and obviously it’s a wobbly evaluation for a guy that has been out of the league. If you’re hunting blocks, though, you might have a hard time finding a cheaper option that can do that for you going forward.
