ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Gerald Green is planning on returning to the Houston Rockets on a one-year deal.

Green has become an instrumental bench piece for the Rockets over the last few years, and has essentially maintained the same value in that time span. Expect Green to remain a 3-point specialist and occasional DFS target.

According to Alykhan Bijani, there is a good possibility that Gerald Green will return to the Rockets' bench this coming season.

The Rockets need some "budget guys" to fill and balance their roster should they decide to shake things up and land someone like Jimmy Butler, whom they are reportedly targeting. Green's value should remain pretty much the same, mostly as a deep-league 3-point specialist.

Gerald Green went 5-of-9 from the field, with all of his shots coming from behind the line in Tuesday's 15-point performance against the Thunder.

Green finishes another successful year in Houston as a crowd favorite, and in fantasy leagues he remains a viable 3-point streamer with added value whenever the Rockets are dealing with injuries. It'll be interesting to see if he returns to the team next year as he'll enter free agency this summer. His high-scoring ways led to top-250 per-game value and his 72 games push him up to the top-200 for total value.

Gerald Green (strained left adductor) tallied one rebound and two fouls in six minutes in his return against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Green missed the past five games and the team basically gave him tonight off as well as the Rockets put a beatdown on the Clippers. Green is a low-end streamer in the right situation, but as long as the team is healthy, there isn't much value to be had here.

Gerald Green (stained left adductor) is no longer on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Clippers.

Green has missed the past five games but will be available to play Wednesday against the Clippers. He will come off the bench and is worth a look as a potential low end 3-point streamer.

Gerald Green (groin) is out for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Green was initially diagnosed with his injury taking 7 to 10 days to heal, which was back on March 26. Tuesday's tilt makes it one week, so it makes sense that he was questionable coming in but will sit this one out. Green is on the very of a return, so keep him on the radar if you need a cheap source of 3-pointers late in the season.

Gerald Green (adductor strain) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Green was ruled out for 7-to-10 days back on March 26, and tomorrow would mark a week since that timeline was established. It looks like Green should be back before too long, which adds another name to the deep list of potential 3-point streamers.

Gerald Green will remain sidelined for the next 7 to 10 days in order to recover from a strained adductor he sustained last week.

Green is a nice source for points and triples but with the latest news he is now a cut candidate with the Rockets playing only three times this week. Austin Rivers and Danuel House should pick up the slack for him but it’s really the James Harden show in Houston these days.

Gerald Green (left adductor strain) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Bucks.

With Green out we should see Austin Rivers and Danuel House pick up the slack a bit. House is the add if you want to make a move here, as he's been a solid low-end play since returning from G-League exile.

Gerald Green scored 18 points with four triples off the bench in 21 minutes on Tuesday vs. the Raptors.

Green had another nice game for his threes and points streamers out there. Austin Rivers also helped out off the bench with 13 points and three treys in 25 minutes.

Gerald Green (illness) is available for Sunday's matchup with the Celtics.

Green was initially questionable but will be on call and should get a few extra minutes with Iman Shumpert out.

Gerald Green (strep throat) is questionable to play against the Celtics on Sunday.

Green's minutes and production has been erratic all season but he should continue to be a 3-point specialist with minutes in the low-twenties at least until Iman Shumpert returns to full health.

  • James Harden
    G, Houston Rockets

James Harden (cervical strain) is listed as questionable to play on Saturday vs. the Warriors.

Harden was bugged by the neck strain in Thursday’s game and if he can’t make it for this nationally televised matchup, look for Austin Rivers and Gerald Green to get nice bumps while Eric Gordon and Chris Paul would assume additional responsibilities.

Gerald Green paced the Rockets' reserves in Monday's win over the Mavs with 19 points (five 3s) on 7-of-12 shooting, six rebounds and one assist.

Green has scored 25, 9, 25, 7, 19 points over his last five games, respectively. If you can time his explosions, which have been like a Yellowstone geyser lately, then you can stream him for an optimal gain in points and threes. Eric Gordon scored 18 points (7-of-17 shooting) with four triples, two rebounds and one dime in 29 minutes.
