According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Kings have hired former Suns head coach Igor Kokoškov as an assistant.

Kokoškov, originally from Serbia, has been coaching on some level since 1992 so he has a wealth of knowledge both in international basketball and on the NBA level. He will be part of the new era for the Kings as they try to once again make the playoffs. He will join a team that is currently being run by former Kings and fellow countrymen, GM Vlade Divac and assistant GM Peja Stojaković.

The Suns have released all the coaching staff of Igor Kokoskov so the next coach can hire their own staff.

The Suns cleaned house on their coaching staff just one season removed from signing Kokoskov. The next coach will be the Suns’ fifth coach in five seasons. For context; Devin Booker will be on his fifth coach at the age of 22. The Suns desperately need to nail this pick and give the new coach sufficient time to mold this young core.

The Suns on Monday night announced that they have fired head coach Igor Kokoskov after just one year on the job.

After the end of the season, it looked like Phoenix had planned to bring Kokoskov back for a second year, especially after the team's strong play in the late stages of the calendar. “After extensive evaluation, I determined it is best to move in a different direction with our head coaching position," Suns GM James Jones said in a statement. Former GM Ryan McDonough, hired Kokoskov away from his assistant job with the Jazz last May but he was also let go nine days before the start of the season. Kokoskov has been a well-respected tactician who becomes another victim of the constant turnover in Phoenix but he should have no problem finding another job as an assistant in the near future.

The Suns have been active in trade talks to move up from the No. 16 and No. 31 picks in the draft to acquire a top-10 pick.

The four players that many believe to be on their radar are Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Michael Porter Jr., and Collin Sexton. Depending on whose pick they acquire they will likely be able to get any of these guys except Young. The Suns need a Point Guard and a Center, so Deandre Ayton and one of these three point guards could tandem quite nicely for the Suns right from the start.

The Suns have reportedly hired Jazz assistant Igor Kokoskov as their new head coach, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Kokoskov, a native of Serbia, will be the first European born head coach in the NBA. The Suns were obviously on the look out for a new coach, but Kokoskov's name seemingly came out of nowhere. Nonetheless, he's signed a three-year deal with the Suns, and all indications are that he's a great coach.
