Isaiah Briscoe emerged as Orlando’s backup point guard in his rookie season, and though he was waived after tearing his right meniscus the team is interested in re-signing him.

Briscoe took the gig from Jerian Grant but still only produced top-450 fantasy value. Even if he does return, he figures to be working behind Markelle Fultz next year so there isn’t a ton to see for fantasy purposes despite the nice story.

The Magic chose to let go of Isaiah Briscoe (right meniscus tear) in fear that he would not be healthy enough to contribute in the playoffs, but remain high on him and hope to re-sign Briscoe this summer.

The rookie out of Kentucky showed some potential this season, but obviously, the injury meant that Briscoe wouldn't be able to help the team in the playoffs. He has the summer to heal up and improve on his game before he likely re-signs and competes for more minutes. Briscoe is well off the re-draft fantasy radar for now.

Isaiah Briscoe (right meniscus tear) was waived by the Magic on Thursday.

No surprises here since he'll be missing the rest of the regular season after undergoing surgery on his knee. He played 21.0 minutes per game but wasn't productive enough for his fantasy owners. Jerian Grant now has the third point guard minutes locked up with Briscoe out of the picture.

Isaiah Briscoe (right meniscus tear) will undergo surgery on Wednesday.

Briscoe missed his last two games for the Magic and will likely miss the rest of the season with this tear in his right knee. Over his last four games Briscoe was playing 21.0 minutes per game but not producing very much for his owners and now that he's gone Jerian Grant is in sole possession of the backup point guard spot behind D.J. Augustin.

An MRI showed that Isaiah Briscoe has a small meniscus tear in his right knee and the Magic are reviewing treatment options.

Though the Magic haven’t decided on a course of treatment it’s safe to assume Briscoe will be out for the foreseeable future. This leaves Jerian Grant as the sole point guard backing up D.J. Augustin but he’s not an option for most fantasy teams.

Isaiah Briscoe returned to action on Thursday and scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting to go with nine boards, two assists and a block.

Briscoe was out for the last two games going through concussion protocol and his return moves Jerian Grant to DNP-CD status. He's a guy to keep your eye on if D.J. Augustin ever gets hurt.

Isaiah Briscoe has been cleared concussion protocol and will play Thursday vs. the Warriors.

Briscoe returns after a two game absence and will return to his role as the backup point guard for the Magic tonight. Jerian Grant will see a reduced role with his return. Briscoe should only be looked at in deep leagues.

Isaiah Briscoe (concussion) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Warriors.

Briscoe, who has missed the last two games, "has been upgraded slightly to doubtful for Thursday’s home game vs. the Warriors," per John Denton. Jerian Grant will continue to pick up extra backup PG minutes in his absence.

Isaiah Briscoe (concussion protocol) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

Briscoe was ruled out for this one over a day in advance, so he may be missing more time after this. Jerian Grant will be the backup point guard, but that only matters in the very deepest of leagues.

Isaiah Briscoe (concussion) did not play in Sunday's win over the Raptors.

Briscoe might miss some more time here, which means Jerian Grant will work as Orlando's backup point guard. This won't have much weight in all but the deepest of leagues.

Isaiah Briscoe (sprained right ankle) has been taken off the injury report on Wednesday.

Briscoe was on the active roster for Tuesday's game but didn't play. He's expected to return from a three-game absence tomorrow, which will push Jerian Grant out of the backup point guard spot and possibly the rotation entirely.

Isaiah Briscoe will be active on Tuesday against the Thunder but he isn’t expected to play.

Steve Clifford wants Briscoe to practice before returning so the rookie will have to wait a couple more days before returning to the court. Jerian Grant will continue to be the backup point guard but he has been really unimpressive this year and shouldn’t be rostered.

The Magic are listing Isaiah Briscoe (sprained right ankle) as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.

Briscoe has missed the last two games after getting injured last Wednesday. Jerian Grant has resumed backup point guard duties with Briscoe out, though the situation is largely irrelevant in fantasy.

Isaiah Briscoe (sprained right ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Rockets.

Briscoe has vaulted himself to backup point guard, but he is still not on the fantasy radar outside of the absolute deepest leagues. Jerian Grant will continue to be the backup point guard with Briscoe out for a third straight game.
