The Rockets have assigned Isaiah Hartenstein and Chris Clemons to the teams G League affiliate.

Hartenstein was unable to find any minutes while Clint Capela was injured as the team fully embraces the small-ball philosophy. Hartenstein and Clemons will be able to get consistent minutes down in the g League. Neither player is on the fantasy radar right now.

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is being listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Pelicans.

Capela looked visibly hurt when trying to play through his heel injury last week and it wouldn't be surprised to see him rest until the All-Star break. the Rockets will opt to go small whenever they could, but Isaiah Hartenstein will have streaming and DFS in the right situations.

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) will not play against the Pelicans on Sunday.

Capela was held out on Friday and rather than deploy Isaiah Hartenstein, Mike D'Antoni successfully went with the smallest lineup since 1963. The 6'5" P.J. Tucker started at center with Danuel House and Thabo Sefolosha occupying the frontcourt. Whether the Rockets decide to go small again on Sunday or not, P.J. Tucker will get a ton of minutes regardless.

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is expected to play on Wednesday vs. the Blazers.

Capela is expected to return after missing Monday's game with the injury. Isaiah Hartenstein loses any streaming appeal he had with Capela back and P.J. Tucker will slide back to his traditional position at power forward.

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Blazers.

Capela is in danger of missing another game after missing Monday's win against the Jazz with the heel issue. P.J. Tucker drew the start in that one and would again be in line for additional minutes. Isaiah Hartenstein is looking at extra minutes as well if the team chooses to go that route.

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is considered doubtful for Monday's game.

Capela experienced heel issues in December and they are flaring up again. Isaiah Hartenstein should see an expanded role until he returns.

  • PJ Tucker
    SF, Houston Rockets

P.J. Tucker (right shoulder stinger) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Blazers.

Tucker managed to play Tuesday's game, finishing with seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 38 minutes. He has only averaged 3.5 points per game over his last ten appearances. Isaiah Hartenstein could see more action if Tucker is unavailable.

Isaiah Hartenstein erupted for 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting with 15 rebounds, one assist, as well as fresh career-highs in steals (two) and blocks (five) in a start for Clint Capela (heel) in Saturday's 139-109 win over the Wolves.

Wow. This kid can play and play well. As long as Capela is on the sidelines, Hartenstein is a must-own guy, given that he's the only one trusted to take over the starting C duties in Houston.

  • Clint Capela
    C, Houston Rockets

Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni confirmed that Clint Capela has been ruled out against the Timberwolves on Saturday with a right heel contusion.

Capela's heel injury won't go away, so that means we get another spot-start from Isaiah Hartenstein. The Rockets' German big man is worth a stream against the lowly Timberwolves' defense, so pick him up if you need a late-week boost to you FG%, blocks and rebounds. As for Capela, continue to monitor his status, but it's certainly concerning that the issue keeps lingering or, even worse, that he's re-aggravated it.

  • Isaiah Hartenstein
    PF, Houston Rockets

Isaiah Hartenstein kept his foot on the gas in Tuesday's 130-104 win over the Nuggets, dropping 16 points (6-of-8 FG), 12 rebounds, a steal and a block in just 18 minutes of work.

Hartenstein has leapfrogged Tyson Chandler in the rotation and it's very much deserved. Nobody should expect Hartenstein to keep up this pace now that Clint Capela is back in the lineup, but deep-league GMs should let this ride. If Hartenstein has cemented a rotation spot, he should be able to maintain your interest.

  • Clint Capela
    C, Houston Rockets

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is planning on suiting up against the Nuggets for Tuesday's New Year's Eve matchup.

Capela missed the Rocket's back-to-back set over the weekend but seems likely to make his return to close out 2019. Isaiah Hartenstein, who had 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks on Sunday, will be relegated back to backup duty if Capela does indeed suit up. Outside of horrifying shooting from the free-throw line, Capela has been a beast with top-13 value on the season between the other eight cats.

Isaiah Hartenstein put up an amazing effort as a starter for the Rockets in Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, delivering 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists and two blocs in a team-high 34 minutes.

Hartenstein is worth a short-term hold while Clint Capela recovers from his right heel contusion. Don't get too attached, as his usage will be near-non-existent once Capela returns.

  • Isaiah Hartenstein
    PF, Houston Rockets

Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed 13 boards on Saturday to go with nine points in 24 minutes off the bench.

Tyson Chandler (three points and five rebounds in 14 minutes) got the start with Clint Capela (right heel contusion) out on Saturday but Hartenstein was the biggest beneficiary. Hartenstein will be worth streaming on Sunday if Capela is out again, but he will fall off the fantasy radar when Capela returns.

  • Clint Capela
    C, Houston Rockets

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) is listed as out against the Nets on Saturday.

Capela was initially listed as doubtful and perhaps the Rockets are being cautious as this is the first game of a back-to-back as he was able to play through the injury on Monday . Isaiah Hartenstein and Tyson Chandler should fill Capela's minutes with neither seeing enough to garner any fantasy attention. P.J. Tucker should see some center minutes as well.
