The Suns have pieces, but can they ever get on the right track?

In the midst of a prolonged rebuild, the Suns are probably not bringing back Jamal Crawford.
There is no doubt that Crawford can still score in bunches when given the opportunity, but it sounds like the Suns and Crawford are in agreement that his talents would be better served elsewhere. The ageless veteran will turn 40 this season, and has drawn interest from the Heat, the Sixers, the Thunder and the Lakers. In all likelihood he will join a contender, and will have a few impressive weeks where you may want to pluck him off waivers. Don't bother thinking about Crawford until then.

The Heat are among the teams expressing an interest in veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford, according to veteran NBA insider Brandon Robinson.
Crawford turned 39 in March but he proved that he can still make an impact appearing in 64 games with the Suns and averaging 7.9 points and 3.6 assists. Along with the Heat, the Sixers, the Thunder and the Lakers are interested in Crawford, but he is more likely to be signed later in the summer or just ahead of training camp by a team looking for a veteran scorer and ballhandler in reserve.

Jamal Crawford erupted on Tuesday with 51 points on 18-of-30 shooting while adding five rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and seven 3-pointers against the Mavs.
Crawford is the tender age of 39 years old and has stated he hasn’t contemplated retiring and the closing stretch of games shows why. He scored the first 10 points of the fourth quarter and almost carried his team to a win by himself. JCrossover nailed some ridiculous shots that brought us back to his youth on a night filled with veterans turning back the clock for one game. He’s still a walking bucket when given playing time, but with his age he can’t maintain a heavy workload on a consistent basis and in fantasy hoops. Crawford was a top-280/340 guy this year.

Jamal Crawford scored 27 points against the Rockets on Sunday night, going 9-of-17 from the field while adding four rebounds, six assists, a steal and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
Crawford nearly matched his 28 points from the previous game, and he's going to be a decent source of points and threes for the rest of the season with Devin Booker out and Jimmer Fredette not in the rotation. Crawford might lose time if Troy Daniels gets hot or the Suns actually commit to playing their rookies more than 25 minutes, but if you need some scoring punch then the veteran is worth a shot.

Jamal Crawford turned in a vintage performance on Friday night, posting 28 points, seven assists, four triples and three steals.
With Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton likely done for the year, the Suns need someone to take shots and Crawford was happy to oblige on Friday night as his 21 attempts were second on the team. His 34 minutes and 28 points were a season high so don’t expect this level of production again, though he could be worth a look as a streamer with the Suns being so short handed to finish the year.

Crawford still has lingering pain in his shoulder. He'll only be used in an emergency.

Jamal Crawford turned back the clock on Wednesday night, finishing a loss to the Clippers with 17 points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, a block and three 3-pointers.
Crawford had scored nine points total in the five games before this so it's obviously not something to act on. That said, it's cool to see the veteran show out in one of his many former homes.

Jamal Crawford scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench on Tuesday against the Spurs.
Crawford's scoring was needed with Deandre Ayton out but don't expect him to go off like this every night his scoring is needed. Still, anything Crawford does right now at his age is fun to watch.

Jamal Crawford returned from a five-game absence (knee soreness) on Sunday night and put up 11 points, three assists and a 3-pointer in 21 minutes against the Wolves.
Good to see Crawford back in action, though his biggest fantasy impact this year is going to be limiting the minutes for Josh Jackson and Elie Okobo. You can leave him on the wire in all but the deepest of formats.

Jamal Crawford (knee soreness) is available for Sunday's game.
Crawford has missed the past five games and there's a chance he has fallen out of the rotation. We'll see if he takes minutes from the young guards.

Jamal Crawford (sore left knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Crawford has likely fallen out of the rotation with De'Anthony Melton and Elie Okobo playing more minutes as of late. His status likely has no fantasy impact.

Jamal Crawford (sore left knee) will not play on Saturday.
Crawford is missing his fifth straight game and is not guaranteed playing time upon his return. He is not on the fantasy radar.

Jamal Crawford is questionable for Saturday's game with a sore left knee.
Crawford is basically a fantasy zero. He's never really been a "good" fantasy asset, and now he's just cashing checks. Good for him I guess.

Our final Monday show of the 2018-19 regular season is a goofy one. Dan Besbris gets into every game that happened over the weekend, with, of course, an eye on resting stars and how truly insane these three days can be.
