Derrick Favors will not play on Tuesday due to personal reasons.

Favors has missed time after his mother passed away. Jahlil Okafor and Jaxson Hayes will receive heavy minutes again.

  • Jaxson Hayes
    PF-C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jaxson Hayes moved to the bench Sunday afternoon against the Thunder and Steven Adams, but still found success with nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal.

Jahlil Okafor wound up being a nonfactor as a starter (four points, two rebounds, nine minutes), and Hayes had the majority of the center minutes with 26 over the course of the game. He remains standard league worthy until the team gets healthier and he has a steadier bench role.

  • Jahlil Okafor
    C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jahlil Okafor will move into the starting lineup on Sunday afternoon.

Okafor will replace Jaxson Hayes in this one, and it's a better matchup against the burly Steven Adams. If you're looking for someone who can grab a solid double-double, Okafor is a fine play for as long as Derrick Favors (personal) remains away from the team.

Derrick Favors (personal) is being listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Thunder.

Favors is dealing with the death of his mother and will take his time returning. Jaxson Hayes will continue to start if Favors is unable to make the game.

  • Jaxson Hayes
    PF-C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jaxson Hayes started and scored seven points on 2-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes on Wednesday against the Lakers.

Hayes has been getting solid run lately, averaging 25 mpg over the last two weeks with top-150 value in that span. That's pretty disappointing with his potential to ramp up big man value quick, and with Derrick Favors' return lingering it's probably time to move on. Favors' mom also passed recently and might have given the Pels and easy reason to give him time off.

Derrick Favors will miss Wednesday’s game against the Lakers for personal reasons.

Jaxson Hayes got the start in his place on Sunday when Favors was sidelined with a back injury. Jahlil Okafor should see more minutes in reserve.

Derrick Favors (left ankle sprain) is being listed as questionable to play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

If Favors can't shake the ankle injury, Jahlil Okafor and Jaxson Hayes will likely split the majority of the Center minutes. Both players are worth a look until while Favors remains injured.

Derrick Favors (left ankle sprain) misses Tuesday's practice.

Favors was starting to round into form before going down yet again, in what has been an injury-plagued first month for the veteran big man. If Favors can't go on Wednesday, Jaxson Hayes and Jahlil Okafor will continue to get extra minutes and make for solid adds.

Derrick Favors (left ankle sprain) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Clippers.

Jaxson Hayes should be in line for another spot start and could see 28-plus minutes Jahlil Okafor is forced to sit as well. Hayes has been a worthwhile streamer and is worth holding onto in deeper leagues until we see both centers back and healthy.

  • Jaxson Hayes
    PF-C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jaxson Hayes got the start and scored 13 points, adding five rebounds, one assist and a block, in Saturday's loss to the Jazz.

Hayes got the start with both teammates, Jahlil Okafor and Derrick Favors, out. It was an ok outing for the rookie, whom converted over half of his shots and went a perfect 3-of-3 from the line. The five rebounds were a bit of a let down, especially as JJ Redick was the team's leading rebounder. Unfortunately that is just how it panned out tonight with only 29 team defensive boards to be had.

  • Jahlil Okafor
    C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jahlil Okafor is out for Thursday's game against the Suns with a sprained left ankle.

Okafor is out again in this game, which is a shame because there's opportunity in the front court for the Pelicans with Derrick Favors hobbled. Jaxson Hayes should have a really good shot to show what he's made of.

  • Jahlil Okafor
    C, New Orleans Pelicans

Jahlil Okafor is questionable to face the Suns on Thursday as he is dealing with a left ankle sprain.

Okafor hasn't played since November 11th but could be in line for a big role if he is available as Derrick Favors (back spasms) has already been ruled out. Whether Okafor plays or not, look for rookie Jaxson Hayes to compete for minutes as he has impressed in a very small sample size. It is worth noting that the Suns are also dealing with a depleted frontcourt with DeAndre Ayton suspended and Aron Baynes ruled out. This could be a juicy matchup for any of the bigs that are healthy enough to play as they will be matched up against Frank Kaminsky, Dario Šarić and Cheick Diallo.

  • Derrick Favors
    PF, New Orleans Pelicans

Derrick Favors will not play on Thursday against the Suns as he is dealing with back spasms.

With Favors ruled out and Jahlil Okafor questionable with an ankle sprain, there could be an opportunity for rookie Jaxson Hayes to produce streaming value. It is possible that he is relevant even if Okafor does play in this contest. Hayes has been a pleasant surprise in his rookie season as he is only 19 years old and was deemed as more of a project around the 2019 draft.

  • Kenrich Williams
    PF, New Orleans Pelicans

Kenrich Williams produced plenty of stats again with eight points (2-of-4 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes in a win over the Blazers on Tuesday.

Rebounds, steals and threes have been Williams' specialties during his six-start stretch. He'll be relegated to bench duty as the Pelicans get healthier, but he can be started in standard leagues if he fits your team until then. Also in the starting lineup with a nice game tonight was Jaxson Hayes putting up nice points, seven boards, two steals and three blocks in 21 minutes.
