The Bucks requested waivers on guard Jaylen Adams and forward Luke Maye on Monday.

Signed as a free agent on August 20th, Adams appeared in two games for the Bucks this preseason and averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per game. Meanwhile, Maye, undrafted out of the University of North Carolina, appeared in three games and averaged just 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.8 minutes per game.

The Bucks officially announced the signings of guards Jaylen Adams and Rayjon Tucker on Tuesday.

Adams and Tucker have their work cut out for them in their bid to claim a roster with the big club, as the Bucks have a reasonably deep guard rotation. Adams and Tucker are more than likely competing to get playing time in the G-League this season and can be ignored in fantasy.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Bucks are signing Jaylen Adams to compete in training camp.

Adams has his work cut out for him to make the roster as Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and Frank Mason are already securely ahead of him. He is likely to return to the G-League and is not a fantasy target this coming season.

    PG, Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are set to waive Jaylen Adams ahead of his July 19 guarantee date.

Adams went undrafted in 2018 but after playing well in the G-League, his two-way contract was converted into a standard one. He ended up playing 34 games for the Hawks with 3.2 points, 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. With newly acquired Evan Turner likely to assume the backup point guard duties and Cam Reddish also expected play some point, the Hawks figured holding Adams wasn't necessary. The stat stuffing abilities he displayed in the G-League may bring some calls from other teams but he needs to improve his field goal percentage. He is not on the fantasy radar this season.

Jaylan Adams played only nine minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.

Adams took over the backup PG duties after Jeremy Lin was bought out after the All-Star break. In that timeframe, he failed to crack top-300 value in 16.2 mpg. In the unlikely event he returns to the same role next season, he shouldn’t be on any draft radars.

Jaylen Adams started for a resting Trae Young on Sunday and quietly registered five points, five rebounds, three assists, one triple and one steal in 26 minutes.

Adams has low-end appeal in very deep leagues but will have his ceiling hard-capped as long as Trae Young is healthy.

Jaylen Adams had himself a nice game on Friday night, posting nine points, four assists, four steals, a block and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes against the Magic.

Adams had some deep, deep-league appeal as Atlanta's supposed backup point guard when Jeremy Lin was let go but he hasn't had much opportunity to play with Trae Young taking the league by storm. Tonight's blowout gave him a shot at minutes and he'd be worth a look if Young sat for rest as the season wraps up.

Trae Young's ejection allowed Jaylen Adams to log 26 minutes on Sunday afternoon, and he responded with a career-high 14 points (5-of-9 shooting) to go with four rebounds, four assists and four 3-pointers.

Adams has been splitting backup duties with DeAndre' Bembry and got into a nice rhythm today. Unfortunately for him Young has been so good that there isn't much work available for the bench guys of late. Adams is only a stash in deep leagues.

Speaking in a radio interview on Wednesday morning, Hawks GM Travis Schlenk said that Jaylen Adams will "basically, taking Jeremy's [Lin] spot."

That means Adams is going to play backup point guard and get a little time at shooting guard as well. Lin averaged 19.7 minutes a night with the Hawks, which will be a nice step up from Adams' current 4.5 mpg. This has been the expected course since Lin's buyout but with confirmation from the GM, Adams is on the radar in deeper leagues.

Jaylen Adams (right ankle sprain) will not suit up for Thursday's game against the Knicks.

Adams was initially listed as probable but hopefully he'll be able to get right over the All-Star break. He should be Atlanta's backup point guard when he does return to action, so Adams is someone to file away in deeper leagues. DeAndre' Bembry will hold that role tonight and is a fine DFS play.

Jaylen Adams (right ankle sprain) is probable for Thursday's game, and the Hawks will also be converting his two-way deal into a standard contract.

Beyond that, Lloyd Pierce says that Adams will work as the team's backup point guard when he gets healthy. That makes him a name to know in deeper formats, and we should get a look at those lineups tomorrow night.

Jaylen Adams (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game.

Typically Adams' status isn't worth monitoring in fantasy, but with Jeremy Lin now out of town the backup minutes may fall to Adams. He's worth knowing in deeper leagues, though we still aren't expecting much once he returns to the court.

Jaylen Adams (right ankle sprain) is questionable for Tuesday's game.

Adams has missed the last two games. He was initially doubtful before Sunday so it does look like he's progressing, not that it matters for fantasy purposes.
