  • Jeff Hornacek
    Team, Los Angeles Lakers

According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Lakers will likely consider hiring Jeff Hornacek as assistant since Kurt Rambis and Phil Jackson, who both have links to the Lakers, were high on him during his stint as the Knicks head coach.

Hornacek served as an assistant in Utah before being named the Suns head coach in 2013 and ultimately moved on to the Big Apple in 2016. He has a career coaching record of 161-216 and if he comes to terms with the Lakers, Los Angeles will now have three assistants who are former head coaches in the league.

  • Jeff Hornacek
    Team, New York Knicks

Jeff Hornacek, whose contract with the Knicks is ending, is a name to watch as the Nets look to replace former assistant coach Chris Fleming.

Hornacek reportedly attended home and road playoff games during the Nets’ first-round playoff loss to the Sixers and spent time going over film work with coaches and players. It would seem like this is a good fit for the former Knicks coach with his involvement in the organization already.

The Kings have interviewed Jeff Hornacek for an assistant coach position.

The Kings have already hired their head coach, Luke Walton. However, with Walton's status up in the air with the recent allegations made against him, the Kings would do well to hire an assistant with head coaching experience. Hornacek last coached for the Knicks before being fired at the end of the 2017-2018 season. His overall record as head coach for the Knicks and the Suns is 161-216.

  • Jeff Hornacek
    Team, Sacramento Kings

Sam Amick of the Athletic is reporting that former Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek had an interview with the Kings for the lead assistant coach job.

Sacramento has already hired Luke Walton to be their new coach but the news about the sexual assault allegations he faces might put his status in danger. Walton should be able to assemble his coaching staff once he is out of the woods but we should know more once the NBA concludes with their investigation of the matter.

  • Jeff Hornacek
    Team, New York Knicks

Jeff Hornacek has been dismissed by the Knicks and David Fizdale, David Blatt and Mark Jackson are among several candidates to be contacted according to ESPN.

Hornacek made the Knicks go public with getting rid of him rather than a mutual parting of ways, which might have precipitated the quick firing as soon as games ended on Wednesday night. It was an awkward tenure there, including tension with Phil Jackson over style of play and several odd playing time decisions that never seemed to pan out. Since it's the Knicks there will probably be some hilarity in the next few weeks with how things play out.
