Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops is reporting that free agent guard Jimmer Fredette intends to sign a two-year agreement with Greek club Panathinaikos.

Fredette recently left the Warriors summer-league team in order to pursue overseas options and to avoid any potential injuries. He dominated for a couple years in China before returning to the NBA at the end of last year but the Suns declined their option on him following the season as he struggled in limited action, averaging just 3.7 points and shooting 27.6 percent, while missing all 13 of his 3-point attempts.

Jimmer Fredette has left the Warriors' Summer League team.

Fredette leaves as the Cal Classic is about to wrap up and will not be with the team in Vegas. No word on where he may be headed, but it's likely overseas on a lucrative deal.

    PG, Golden State Warriors

Jimmer Fredette scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting in Monday's Summer League loss.

Fredette did his damage in only 16 minutes while also picking up seven rebounds, a steal and a triple. The cult favorite will look to make an opening night roster, but should that fail again he can always go back to dropping 40 points with regularity in China.

    PG, Phoenix Suns

The Suns will decline Jimmer Fredette's team option, allowing the guard to play for the Warriors in Summer League.

Fredette was a non-factor for the Suns in limited action last season, but he'll try to find a foothold in the league with a strong showing in Vegas. If worse comes to worse, Jimmer can always go back to dropping huge lines in China.

    PG, Phoenix Suns

Jinmmer Fredette scored zero points on 0-of-3 shooting while adding two rebounds and four assists on Tuesday against the Mavs.

He had a surprisingly low usage game by his standards and opted to facilitate the ball to Jamal Crawford instead of gunning away like he usually does. Fredette was signed as the Suns were dealing with injuries to Kelly Oubre Jr., T.J. Warren, Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker and Tyler Johnson to close out the year and he’s done nothing to suggest that he’ll be a rotational player next season. The most notable Fredette line this season was him going 1-for-10 in 14 minutes against the Jazz.

    G, Phoenix Suns

Jimmer Fredette made his first NBA appearance since 2015-16 on Saturday night, missing his only shot from the field in four minutes of work.

Nice to see Jimmer back. Even if it means nothing for fantasy, it'll be good for Twitter.

Jimmer Fredette is available to make his Suns debut on Saturday vs. the Kings.

While we should see Fredette on the court, the Suns don’t want to push him or put too much on his plate so soon after signing with the team. The standard caveat is that we’re in the fantasy silly season and Fredette is probably excited to reestablish his game in the NBA after playing the last three seasons for the Chinese Basketball Association. He averaged 36.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season for the Shanghai Sharks.

The Suns are signing Jimmer Fredette for the rest of the season, with a team-option for next season.

The Jimmer is best known for reinventing the 3-point line at BYU. Fredette last played in the NBA in the 2015-2016 season, where he was a bit player. Fredette doesn’t carry much fantasy value with him, but may see a few minutes to close out the season with Tyler Johnson’s status uncertain.
