The Bucks have waived F Jon Leuer on Tuesday.

This wasn't out of nowhere Bucks GM Jon Horst said a few weeks back that Leuer may not stay with the Bucks. Leuer hasn't produced much of anything the past few seasons and he'll again be looking at a deep-reserve role if he signs with another team.

Jon Leuer may not stay with the Bucks according to GM Jon Horst.

Horst was upfront with Leuer and his agent by telling them that the move to trade for Leuer was purely financial and that he might be moved in another deal. The 8-year veteran appeared in only 41 games for the Pistons last year with 3.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 9.8 minutes and likely won't make it on the fantasy radar no matter where he ends up.

The Pistons have agreed to give the Bucks Jon Leuer for Tony Snell and the 30th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

The Pistons now own two picks in the first round, but they take on Tony Snell's contract for this season and next season. The Pistons are stuck in the middle of the Eastern Conference right now, so they are trying to acquire picks hoping that they can find a gem that will lift their franchise.

Jon Leuer's 2018-19 ended with a four-minute stint in Wednesday's win over the Knicks, where he was able to score two points and grab one rebound.

Leuer was pretty much a non-factor in fantasy across his 41 games played this season with values outside of the top-400. Leuer dealt with a nagging knee injury this season and with 9.8 minutes per game allotted to him, it was hard to expect him to make any noise. At least, beyond that of cheering for his teammates from the bench.

Jon Leuer will start in place of Blake Griffin (rest) on Monday against the Cavs.

Leuer has appeared in five games since the start of February so there's no reason to look his way outside the deepest of leagues, even with the nice opportunity in a good matchup. We're still more interested in Thon Maker for this one.

Jon Leuer (knee) is available to play Wednesday vs. the Wolves.

With Zaza Pachulia's absence thinning out Detroit's front court, Leuer should see some extra minutes tonight along side Thon Maker in support of Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin.

Jon Leuer (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Wolves.

With both Leuer and Zaza Pachulia (Achillies inflammation) not likely to play tonight, the Pistons will be extremely shorthanded up front. Thon Maker is going to have to play a big role off the bench.

Jon Leuer (illness) is probable for Saturday's game against the Kings.

Leuer will be needed with Andre Drummond (concussion) out and the Kings' interior defense is not good, so he might be worth a look as a punt play in DFS.

Jon Leuer pulled down 11 rebounds to go with nine points and three steals on Thursday.

Leuer has been a non factor for most of the season but tonight he was able to grab some boards because of Blake Griffin's absence. He can be safely ignored.

Jon Leuer (right knee soreness) will play on Monday.

Leuer was listed as probable and will continue to play small-ball center in the second unit. Fantasy owners don't need to monitor his production.

Jon Leuer started Monday night's game for Blake Griffin (rest) and logged 31 minutes, producing eight points, four rebounds and one steal.

This was a spot start for Leuer and should return to fantasy mediocrity when Griffin returns. That said, given that the Pistons have been short-handed lately, Leuer will get a chance to rekindle the top-150 form he once had in 2016-17.

Jon Leuer will make his preseason debut on Wednesday against the Wizards and play "a few minutes."

This will be Leuer's first game since undergoing offseason knee surgery. The big man had a career year in 2016-2017 as a top-150 option, but a lot has changed since then. The 29-year-old is the backup center and could log some time at PF as well which should earn him a 15-20 minute role. He can be ignored in most leagues unless Griffin goes down again.

Speaking to reporters after practice on Tuesday, Dwane Casey said that Jon Leuer is making progress and he could play on Wednesday or Friday.

Leuer has been a participant in recent practices as he is working his way to a return from knee surgery that sidelined him in the last few months. There is a place for him in the Pistons rotation but he should prove that he is healthy before. You should keep an eye for him as his stat set is fantasy friendly but there is no need to draft him unless you are in a super deep league.

Jon Leuer is out for Monday's preseason game.

Leuer did 5-on-5 work for the first time Sunday and wants to return prior to the regular season. Leuer showed fantasy value in his first season with the Pistons, but has not been able to stay healthy since. He's not worth drafting right now, but if he gets his shooting form back he could have value at various points throughout the season.
