  • Jonah Bolden
    PF, Philadelphia Sixers

Jonah Bolden has opted to withdraw from Team Australia in the FIBA World Cup.

Bolden becomes the fifth NBA player to skip out on playing for Australia in the World Cup, a trend that seems to be prevalent for several countries' national teams. Bodlen could be looking at an increased role as a backup center for Philly's thin bench this upcoming season. He is not expected to be a relevant fantasy option though.

  • Khem Birch
    C, Orlando Magic

Khem Birch led all scorers with 18 points as Canada lost to Australia in the second game of their mini-series exhibition.

Birch also chipped in four rebounds, two steals and a block in 23 minutes. He recently signed a two-year extension with the Magic but he currently sits as their third string center so he is off the fantasy map for now. For Australia, captain Joe Ingles put up eight points on 2-of-10 shooting with six assists and three steals in 31 minutes while Jonah Bolden chipped in 12 points, five rebounds, a steal and two triples in 18 minutes off the bench.

  • Jonah Bolden
    F, Philadelphia Sixers

Jonah Bolden finished with three points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 13 minutes against the Raptors on Saturday.

Bolden wasn't able to make an impact off the bench for the Sixers and was also 1-for-6 for the whole night. The Sixers need him to be more efficient if he will play more minutes moving forward.

  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday’s Game 4 vs. the Nets.

This news isn’t surprising seeing as Embiid missed Game 3 due to the knee pain. With the Sixers up 2-1 in the first round series, Embiid could sit out another one. Greg Monroe, who started Game 3, Jonah Bolden and Boban Marjanovic would be the prime beneficiaries with Amir Johnson also in line to pick up a few minutes.

Jonah Bolden (left knee soreness) is available for Monday's Game 2 against the Nets.

Bolden was initially listed as probable. He saw limited action in Game 1 but could be a bigger piece of the puzzle tonight given Joel Embiid's questionable status and Bolden's own ability to stretch the floor.

Jonah Bolden (left knee soreness) is probable for Monday night's Game 2 showdown with the Nets.

Bolden's presence or absence typically wouldn't mean much considering how Joel Embiid should be eating Brooklyn's frontcourt alive, but Embiid is clearly less than 100 percent and Philadelphia needs some spacing, which makes Bolden a candidate for an increased role. He played only five minutes in Game 1 after being listed as questionable so we could see more of Bolden tonight.

Updating a previous item, Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) will be available for Game 1 against the Nets on Saturday.

Joel Embiid remains a game-time decision and if he cannot go, it looks like Bolden may get the start. In 10 starts this year, he has averaged 8. 7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 triples, shooting 54.0 percent from the field in 21.4 minutes.

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) will be a game-time decision for Game 1 against the Nets on Saturday.

Bolden participated in Friday's practice and should get the start if Joel Embiid cannot go. He averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in the five games prior to the one where he got hurt. If neither plays, Amir Johnson or Boban Marjanovic will likely get the start.

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) partially participated in Friday’s practice and is listed as questionable to play on Saturday vs. the Nets.

With Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) listed as doubtful for Saturday’s contest, the Sixers really could use Bolden out there if he’s able to go. If not, we’ll see some Amir Johnson and Boban Marjanovic.

  • Joel Embiid
    F/C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) is officially listed as doubtful to play in Saturday’s Game 1 vs. the Nets.

Embiid has missed five of his last seven games with the knee soreness and with Jonah Bolden (left knee) also questionable we might be seeing a lot of Amir Johnson or the Sixers might opt to go small. Boban Marjanovic would probably get some run too.

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) sat out Wednesday's meaningless season finale against the Bulls.

Bolden started the season slowly, but has since carved out a role as a stretch-big. He even had a week long stretch of early-round value when Joel Embiid was sitting out. On the year he'll finish around top-270 value, but he's someone to watch over the next few years given his frame, athleticism and skill set that are all good fits for today's NBA.

Jonah Bolden (sore left knee) will not play in Wednesday's season finale.

Bolden started on Tuesday but only saw limited minutes, and the Sixers will be looking at Greg Monroe, Boban Marjanovic and Amir Johnson to shoulder the load at center tonight.
