Jonah Bolden

Fantasy News

  • Jonah Bolden
    PF, Phoenix Suns

Jonah Bolden was allotted 26 minutes in Wednesday's 112-106 victory over the Warriors and was able to record six points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks.

Bolden is on a 10-day deal and was likely added for temporary depth while Deandre Ayton (ankle) is on the mend. Bolden is a deep-league stream for the time being.

  • Deandre Ayton
    C, Phoenix Suns

Deandre Ayton (left ankle soreness) is listed as out for Wednesday's game vs. the Warriors.

Ayton missed Monday's game with the same injury and the Suns will use this as an opportunity to give Ayton extended rest heading into the All-Star break. Ayton has been a top-20 player per game this season and should continue that pace moving forward. Cheick Diallo will start in place for Ayton on Wednesday and Jonah Bolden may make his debut for the Suns after signing a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

    PF, Phoenix Suns

Jonah Bolden is available for the Suns on Wednesday after signing a 10-day contract.

Bolden was waived by the Sixers last week. He has a better path to minutes in Phoenix than he did in Philadelphia, but Bolden is not likely to make an impact in fantasy leagues and can be ignored until further notice.

The Suns have signed Jonah Bolden to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

Bolden was waived just about a week ago and cleared waivers before signing a 10-day contract with the Suns. Bolden averaged 13.6 minutes per game across 48 games over two seasons with the Sixers. However, he only played four games in 2019-20 compared to 44 games his rookie season. He is not on the fantasy radar at this time.

  • Jonah Bolden
    PF, Philadelphia Sixers

The Sixers are waiving Jonah Bolden.

Bolden was a part of the rotation as a rookie and flashed an ability to both protect the rim and hit the deep ball, but this year he's been limited to just four appearances. The offseason signing of Kyle O'Quinn was a bad sign and the play of Norvel Pelle was the nail in his coffin. Bolden should resurface in another organization.

  • Zhaire Smith
    SG, Philadelphia Sixers

The Sixers recalled Zhaire Smith and Jonah Bolden from the G League on Wednesday.

Both Smith and Bolden have been shuttling to and from the Delaware Blue Coats. They do not have fantasy relevance at this time.

  • Kyle O'Quinn
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Kyle O'Quinn (left calf strain) is being considered questionable for Monday's game versus the Raptors.

O'Quinn picked up the injury during the fourth quarter of last night's game versus the Heat. Jonah Bolden may see a few extra minutes if O'Quinn sits out.

The 76ers recalled Jonah Bolden and Zhaire Smith from the G-League on Sunday.

Bolden has some fantasy appeal if Joel Embiid happens to miss any time but as of right now he'll just serve as reinforcements to the 76ers bench. Neither he or Smith carry much fantasy value as of right now.

  • Joel Embiid
    C, Philadelphia Sixers

Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony-Towns were both suspended two games for the incident that occurred during Wednesday's game.

Embiid has had a great start to the season and there is no worry that this won't continue after he serves his suspension. Mike Scott, Kyle O'Quinn and Jonah Bolden may see an increased role while the team will likely lean on the other four starters to help carry the load during Embiid's absence. Scott in particular is an interesting DFS play as a low-priced option. Continue to monitor the situation to see who they start as they may shift Al Horford to center and insert Scott off the bench to start at power forward.

Jonah Bolden has opted to withdraw from Team Australia in the FIBA World Cup.

Bolden becomes the fifth NBA player to skip out on playing for Australia in the World Cup, a trend that seems to be prevalent for several countries' national teams. Bodlen could be looking at an increased role as a backup center for Philly's thin bench this upcoming season. He is not expected to be a relevant fantasy option though.

  • Khem Birch
    C, Orlando Magic

Khem Birch led all scorers with 18 points as Canada lost to Australia in the second game of their mini-series exhibition.

Birch also chipped in four rebounds, two steals and a block in 23 minutes. He recently signed a two-year extension with the Magic but he currently sits as their third string center so he is off the fantasy map for now. For Australia, captain Joe Ingles put up eight points on 2-of-10 shooting with six assists and three steals in 31 minutes while Jonah Bolden chipped in 12 points, five rebounds, a steal and two triples in 18 minutes off the bench.

  • Jonah Bolden
    F, Philadelphia Sixers

Jonah Bolden finished with three points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 13 minutes against the Raptors on Saturday.

Bolden wasn't able to make an impact off the bench for the Sixers and was also 1-for-6 for the whole night. The Sixers need him to be more efficient if he will play more minutes moving forward.
