Dio looks at some of the international names who performed well in this year's summer session

Josh Okogie put up 16 points and 4 rebounds in 34 minutes on Sunday.
Okogie shot poorly as he made 5-of-15 shots from the floor and 1-of-5 from three-point range. The T-Wolves first-round pick will have plenty of opportunities in the Summer League to prove he deserves playing time. He will likely not have much fantasy value for next season and will not see much floor time either.

No. 20 pick Josh Okogie scored 10 points but added seven rebound, four assists, two steal and three blocks in Friday’s 69-70 loss to the Nuggets.
The efficiency wasn’t there for Okogie tonight, shooting 2-for-10 from the field, 1-for-5 from 3 and 5-for-8 from the line, in addition to his five turnovers but he was a whirlwind all over the court including a nasty block at the rim despite being 6’4″. His shooting should pick up and he looks like he might be a late-round steal for the Wolves. Unfortunately for him, coach Thibs doesn’t play his rookies much; if either the under-performing Andrew Wiggins or the disgruntled Jimmy Butler are traded, Okogie would be a great add.

The Wolves have selected Josh Okogie out of Georgia Tech with the 20th pick in the draft.
Okogie profiles as a strong 3-and-D player and put together a great final campaign with the Yellow Jackets, posting averages of 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 38 percent from behind the arc. He also got the the free throw line more than six times per game and racked up those boards despite standing at just 6'4". Okogie had a great showing at the combine and was measured with a 7'0" wingspan, so the Wolves were undoubtedly enticed by his tremendous athleticism, toughness and length. Despite appealing physical attributes, rookies with Tom Thibodeau are hard-pressed to get meaningful playing time, let alone hold fantasy value. His defensive versatility makes him a fun long-term prospect but he figures to do a lot of watching and learning this season.

Josh Okogie worked out with the Celtics on Wednesday.
Okogie could be picked just outside the lottery and seems like a safe bet to go in the first-round. He has already worked out for the Warriors and was scheduled to do the same for the Blazers, Pacers, Suns, Jazz and Clippers. He did himself plenty of favors with a strong showing at the combine but will probably need some seasoning, as most rookies do.
