Washburn was acquired in the Andre Iguodala trade. Last season he appeared in 18 games with the Grizzlies, making three starts, while averaging 2.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 14.1 minutes per night. Expect him to land in some team's training camp.

Julian Washburn is now a member of the Warriors with the completion of the Andre Iguodala trade.

Washburn had his moments for the depleted Grizzlies last season and will serve as a potential depth option on the wings for the Warriors, who need all the cheap production they can find.

  • Yuta Watanabe
    PG, Memphis Grizzlies

Yuta Watanabe put up 20 points, nine rebounds and a triple in Monday's opener at Utah Summer League.

Watanabe shot 7-of-12 from the field and tied for the team lead in scoring with Julian Washburn, who added five rebounds, two steals and five triples on 7-of-10 shooting overall. Both of these players had some moments for the depleted Grizzlies last season but figure to be back-end depth now that Memphis has multiple young pieces to put on the floor at once.

Julian Washburn will start for the Grizzlies against the Blazers on Wednesday.

This will be his third career start for a Grizzlies team that is fairly thin up front. Even with the playing opportunities, it's hard to see any fantasy relevant news here.

The San Antonio Spurs have waived center Amida Brimah and forward Julian Washburn.

These two guys were are not quite ready for prime time, and will be looking at destinations in G-League or overseas to develop their skills. They aren’t fantasy relevant no matter where they land.
