The Warriors have assigned Kevon Looney to the G League on Tuesday as he works his way back from the neuropathic condition.

This is the first news we've had on Looney in a couple weeks and while there is no timetable for a return, it's a great sign for the big man that he may be well enough to get some work in as he continues his rehab. The Warriors could really use Looney's defensive presence.

Kevon Looney (neuropathy) underwent a series of tests and an update regarding his timeline will be announced in two weeks.

The Warriors have been decimated by injuries as they are not currently playing a single player that was on the roster for them in the 2019 NBA Finals. With Looney ruled out for the next two weeks, continue to expect Willie Cauley-Stein to start at center while Omari Spellman and Marquese Chriss will see minutes off the bench.

Steve Kerr said there is no update on Kevon Looney (neuropathy), but he mentioned that he will not travel with the Warriors to Houston for Wednesday's game.

The Warriors have no reason to rush anyone back right now, and nearly all of their expected rotation players are dealing with injuries. When any of them do make it back, they could feast on increased minutes and usage.

Kevon Looney (left hamstring) is set for more testing on his neuropathic condition Sunday, and the team is expected to give a firm update on his timetable later this week.

The Warriors' season is completely shot and neuropathic coniditions are notoriously difficult to work with. It wouldn't be a huge shocker to see the Warriors opt to hold Looney out indefinitely until the injury is behind him. He belongs on your wire.

Head coach Steve Kerr admited that Kevon Looney (left hamstring) could be on the shelf for at least the next four games.

There have been very few positive reports on Looney since he went down in the Warriors' season opener. Willie Caluey-Stein is making his return tonight, and will be given the opprotunity to threaten Looney's spot in the starting lineup while he is sidelined. He's looking like a drop candidate.

  • Willie Cauley-Stein
    C, Golden State Warriors

Following yesterday's report, Willie Cauley-Stein (foot) is listed as probable for Wednesday night's game against the Suns.

The Warriors can't get him back soon enough, with Kevon Looney suffering from an injury and Marquese Chriss looking very much like the player who almost fell out of the league this year. Cauley-Stein will likely be limited in his first game action in more than a month, but he is on the fantasy radar given the dearth of options in Golden State this year. He has upside for much more if he manages to play well with the first unit.

Willie Cauley-Stein (left foot strain) has been scrimmaging with the Warriors G League affiliate this week and is getting closer to a return to the lineup.

The Warriors desperately need Cauley-Stein to anchor a depleted frontcourt. With Kevon Looney (hamstring strain) out for an indefinite amount of time with a 'neuropathic condition,' Cauley-Stein is going to get a ton of run. If he is available in your league, now might be the time to stash him.

Kevon Looney (left hamstring) is out for the next two games.

Looney will stay back to see some specialists to evaluate a neuropathic condition. Looney played only 10 minutes in the opener before tweaking his left hamstring again. Hamstring injuries tend to linger and signs are concerning so far.

Kevon Looney only played 10 minutes in Thursday's opener, with the Warriors pulling him from the game after he tweaked his left hamstring.

Looney was sidelined by a left hamstring strain throughout preseason but the team is calling tonight's removal precautionary. The big man is looking at a great opportunity to assert himself as a 24-28 mpg player, especially while Willie Cauley-Stein is out, and that workload would definitely put him in the top-120 neighborhood. If he continues to be limited, however, Looney may struggle to hold more than rebounding appeal.

Kevon Looney started in Thursday's game against the Clippers and scored three points on 1-of-4 shooting with nine rebounds and one assist.

Looney is dealing with a hamstring strain, so that could explain the 10 minutes played. Coach Kerr was always reluctant on giving him a heavy workload though and that was on of our fears heading into this season. It didn't help that Eric Paschall played hard tonight, but with the Warriors low on capable bigs Looney should ramp up to at least 20 minutes a night which would make him a cheap rebounding specialist.

Stever Kerr said that Kevon Looney (hamstring strain) will start Thursday's game against the Clippers.

Looney is going to get a lot of run early with Willie Cauley-Stein out and not much depth up front for this team. There's some upside here for Looney to be a late-round asset at least.

  • Willie Cauley-Stein
    C, Golden State Warriors

According to Anthony Slater of the Athletic, Willie Cauley-Stein (left foot strain) has looked like he is progressing quickly and will be re-evaluated at the end of October.

Cauley-Stein will miss the first few games of the season but was seen doing individual work post-practice and looked very good in those drills. He will likely take over the starting center position for the Warriors when he returns and has the opportunity to have his best fantasy season yet. When Cauley-Stein returns, Marquese Chriss will be relegated to third on the depth chart behind WCS and Kevon Looney.

  • Marquese Chriss
    PF, Golden State Warriors

Marquese Chriss (toe) is probable ahead of Thursday's season opener vs. the Clippers.

Chriss was able to play his way onto the roster as the Warriors were in desperate need of help in their frontcourt. With Kevon Looney (left hamstring strain) most likely playing on Thursday, Chriss will be relegated to a bench role and should be left on the wire in standard redraft leagues.

Kevon Looney (left hamstring strain) is listed as probable for Thursday's regular season opener vs. the Clippers.

The Warriors are in desperate need of help in their frontcourt as Willie Cauley-Stein (left foot strain) has already been ruled out. Looney figures to play big minutes on Thursday if he is available against the Clippers as they have a lot of quality bigs on their roster. Marquese Chriss impressed in the preseason but will likely not play enough minutes to produce fantasy value as Looney and Cauley-Stein get healthy.

Kevon Looney (left hamstring strain) said that he is 95 percent sure that he is going to play in Thursday's season opener against the Clippers.

With Willie Cauley-Stein (left foot strain) ruled out for the game already, the Warriors are going to need Looney out there. Marquese Chriss would be in line for substantial run should Looney not be able to go.
