Larry Nance Jr.

Fantasy News

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

On Wednesday morning Larry Nance Jr. wrote on Twitter, "Just got a chance to read some of these articles about Rob Pelinka supposedly promising me I’d stay in LA.. Wanted to clear the air and say that is not the case. This league is a business and we all know it. Rob and I had and still have a great relationship."

Pelinka, among others, has been taking a lot of heat for the way things have transpired with the Lakers during the last year plus. While some of the news could be true, it is nice to hear from a player's own mouth that at least in his case, Pelinka isn't as cold-hearted as he is/was being made out to be.

Larry Nance Jr. tallied a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double in Tuesday's season finale loss to the Hornets.

Nance added six assists, one steal and two blocks in his 37 minutes of work. One of the lone bright spots that came from the Cavs this season, Nance will finish the year right around top-75 in 8-cat and top-60 in 9-cat formats. He takes a tiny hit in total value as he missed 15 games, but he was a reliable big that helped in rebounds, steals and field goal percentage, without killing you in any category.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. had a full line of 11 points, 10 boards, five assists, four blocks and a 3-pointer in Sunday's loss to the Spurs.

Nance was basically the only bright spot for the Cavs in what ended up being a 22-point loss. Nance started this one even with Kevin Love (shoulder) back, which is a positive sign for the last few games.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance started against the Warriors on Friday night and came through with 13 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and a 3-pointer in 32 minutes of action.

Hopefully Larry Drew keeps this up, though Kevin Love's shoulder injury might be making the decision for him. Whatever the reason, Nance is a must-start option going forward and will always be a fantasy stalwart as long as he's playing at least 24 mpg.

  • Kevin Love - F/C - Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love (left shoulder soreness) will not play on Friday vs. the Warriors.

Fire up your shares of Larry Nance Jr. and Ante Zizic for a game that’ll have a lot of garbage time. It’s also worth noting that Tristan Thompson is no longer on the injury report.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. doubled-doubled on Thursday with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go with 16 rebounds, three assists and a 3-pointer.

It was only a matter of time until Nance got his due and it looks like this move should stick until the end of the season. He should be in all lineups going forward.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting to go with 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals on Monday.

Nance filled it up across the board and is the most talented big on the roster outside of Kevin Love (shoulder), who sat this one out. It's likely that Love will sit more and even the rest of the season so Nance should be owned in all leagues.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. came off the bench on Saturday and logged 32 minutes, scoring five points on 2-of-9 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds to go with two dimes and a steal.

Nance came off the bench, but was still able to pull down double-digit boards while adding a steal. With Tristan Thompson back in the fray, he's not going to have as much leash as before but should still be held on to as the season finishes out.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. came off the bench on Thursday night but was still able to collect 13 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Nance went 5-of-7 from the field and outplayed Tristan Thompson yet again, though that's not really a surprise. As long as he's getting the majority of the minutes there he'll be fine for fantasy use. Nance has been a top-50 player over the last month and a top-25 guy in the last two weeks in 27.3 mpg.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. posted 14 points, nine rebounds, three steals and a 3-pointer on 6-of-9 shooting in Friday's 108-110 loss to the Clippers.

Nance led the center group (non-Love division) with 24 minutes tonight, and that's a trend that we hope to see last for the rest of the season. He's someone that should be rostered in all leagues, though it's possible that Larry Drew bungles this one for the fantasy community.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. (rib contusion) returned from a five-game absence on Wednesday, posting seven points on 3-of-5 shooting with seven boards, five assists, one triple, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes.

It's good to see Nance back on the floor and active on the defensive end. Kevin Love left the game with a head injury, so Nance could be in line for a nice run and make up for lost ground.

  • Larry Nance Jr. - F - Cleveland Cavaliers

Larry Nance Jr. (rib contusion) will return to the lineup in Wednesday's matchup with the Bucks.

Nance has missed the last five games and will return on the same night that both Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson do, so he's tough to throw right back into lineups. We've seen Larry Drew play Nance less than he should when the Cavs have their frontcourt mainstays available but he should be picked up in standard leagues given the top-100 upside that Nance holds, even in a reserve role. Ante Zizic and Marquese Chriss are the big losers from Cleveland's return to full strength.

Larry Nance Jr. (rib contusion) is questionable to face the Bucks on Wednesday.

Nance was questionable ahead of Saturday's game before being ruled out and was just listed as out ahead of Monday's game, but it looks like he's taken a step forward again. Hopefully there's no setback this time. Marquese Chriss, David Nwaba and Ante Zizic would be affected by Nance's return.
