LeBron James (groin) and Danny Green (left finger) are both starting on Sunday.

No surprises here as the duo will continue to play through their respective probable tags til the end of the season, which may be tonight.

  • Anthony Davis
    PF-C, Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony Davis (right heel contusion), LeBron James (sore right groin) and Danny Green (left finger) have all been listed as probable to face the Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.

While the probable tag is nothing new here, it is a promising sign for Davis in particular. He appeared to reinjure his right heel early in Game 5 and once again, down the stretch as the Lakers pushed for victory. Davis was clearly bothered by the injury and maintained a noticeable limp throughout the final quarter. While he is likely to play through it, there is certainly a chance it impacts his on-court play, even if only slightly.

    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James put on a Hall-of-Famer caliber performance on Friday, dropping a game-high 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 shooting from the line.

There’s nothing that can be said to besmirch the effort that the King brought tonight. Even though his team wasn’t able seal the deal, LeBron did everything in his power to make it happen. He grabbed 13 boards, hit six 3s, dished out seven assists and swipe three steals as he slammed home another impressive two-way performance. James is a transcendent talent and will bring another monster line come Game 6 on Sunday.

  • Danny Green
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James (sore right groin), Anthony Davis (right heel contusion) and Danny Green (left finger) are all active and in the starting lineup for Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Friday.

The routine of being listed as probable heading into games, which expanded to include Green along with James and Davis, continues as the NBA season winds down to its final days. It's been over a year since the preseason of the 2019-20 season began so minor injuries and bruises and whatnot are to be expected. LeBron is on the precipice of a fourth ring with the Lakers up 3-1 over the Heat in the Finals. Green would become a back-to-back champion after last year's run with the Raptors, while Davis would become a champion for the first time.

The Lakers have listed LeBron James (groin), Anthony Davis (right heel contusion) and Danny Green (left finger) as probable for Friday's Game 5 against the Heat.

All three will be in the starting lineup tonight with the Lakers trying to take home the NBA championship.

    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two triples on 8-of-16 shooting in 38 minutes during a Game 4 win over the Heat.

James, like Anthony Davis, started slow and looked lost at times in the first half. Then after halftime he came out firing and drilled a couple of 3-pointers before asserting his dominance in the paint. He won't be happy with the six turnovers that he committed tonight, but hopefully he'll be able to hold onto the ball more during the next game. With a chance to close it out and win his fourth NBA title, James should be all systems go on Friday for Game 5.

  • Danny Green
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James (sore right groin), Anthony Davis (right heel contusion) and Danny Green (left finger) are all in the starting lineup for the Lakers heading into Game 4 of the Finals on Tuesday.

The trio has been listed on the injury report throughout the playoffs, yet none of them have missed any time (which is not a shock). The Lakers will be all systems go for coach Frank Vogel as they hold a 2-1 series advantage going into Tuesday's contest.

  • LeBron James
    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James (sore right groin), Anthony Davis (right heel contusion) and Danny Green (left finger) have all been assigned a probable tag ahead of Game 4 against the Heat on Tuesday.

This is most likely the Lakers playing it safe once again. Both James and Davis appeared to play with no restrictions on Sunday and will be looking to bounce back after a somewhat surprising loss. Green has been playing below his best and perhaps the finger injury is causing him some pain. That said, it would be very surprising not to see them all in the starting lineup come the opening tip.

    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James flirted with a triple-double on Sunday, but the Lakers still fell to the Heat, despite his 25 points (9-of-16 FG, 6-of-9 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists, one 3-pointer and two blocks.

It was still a solid performance by the King, even though he never got into that "I'm going to take over and win this game" kind of mode. That said, LeBron will definitely need to get into that mindset and play accordingly especially since the Heat have shown a resilience in the face of adversity as they soldier on despite injuries to key players.

  • Danny Green
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Danny Green (left finger volar plate injury) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's Game 3.

Green departed Game 2 with a hip injury but was able to return, and it appears that he's feeling fine after going through warmups. LeBron James (groin) and Anthony Davis (heel) will also start, with the trio of Lakers again playing through probable tags.

    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Danny Green, who briefly left Game 2 of the Finals due to a hip injury, is not worried about his body heading into Sunday's Game 3.

"I’m not worried about my body. I’ll worry when it’s over… We’ll see tonight how it goes." Green is listed as probable for the game but the injury report has him dealing with a left finger volar plate injury rather than the hip issue, which is likely a good sign. Green may not be as spry as normal but it's expected that he'll be out there tonight. Anthony Davis (right heel contusion) and LeBron James (groin) are both listed as probable, as is custom, but both will play.

    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James flirted with a triple-double on Friday, leading the Lakers to victory with 33 points on 14-of-25 shooting, adding nine rebounds, nine assists, three treys, with one steal and one block.

This is King James at his finest. He was constantly making big shot after big shot, whenever the Heat tried to muster a rally. He and Anthony Davis have been a truly amazing duo so far and at this rate, are looking to cruise to a 4-0 sweep of the injury-plagued Heat.

  • Danny Green
    SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Danny Green (left finger), LeBron James (right groin) and Anthony Davis (right heel) will all start for the Lakers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Friday.

NBA fans and fantasy managers alike have become accustomed to this ritual from LeBron and AD, as they have consistently been listed as probable prior to contests before playing without limits. Green has been listed on the injury report throughout the playoffs with his finger injury as well. All three should be a full go for Friday's contest.

LeBron James posted 25 points (9-of-17 FG, 5-of-6 FT), 13 rebounds, nine assists, a steal and two threes in his 50th NBA Finals game as the Lakers took a 1-0 lead over the Heat on Wednesday.

James also took on the role of guarding Jimmy Butler immediately out of the gate. He didn't need to carry a large load on offense as many of the Lakers' role players were hitting their shots tonight. Aside from Anthony Davis, three of LeBron's other teammates scored in double digits. With the Heat suffering injuries to several key players and his teammates playing well, LeBron may very well be able to coast to his fourth ring.

    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James (sore right groin), Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green (left volar plate injury) and Dwight Howard have been named as the Lakers starters for Wednesday's Game 1.

James and Green were probable heading into this announcement and there's little surprise that these two vets would be able to take the floor. It's a full-force starting five for L.A. as they hope to secure the initiative in this seven-game series.
