Marco Belinelli was sizzling in Italy's 94-89 overtime win over Puerto Rico, scoring 27 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes of action.

Belinelli has struggled to produce so far in the FIBA World Cup, but he came through in a big way in this one. Belinelli still figures to get playing time this season in San Antonio, but will be staving off competition from the likes of Bryn Forbes and Lonnie Walker IV. Danilo Gallinari was also productive, putting up 22 points, six rebounds and five assists.

  • Danilo Gallinari
    SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

Danilo Gallinari scored 15 points in 35 minutes to lead Italy in a 67-60 loss to Spain.

Gallinari is the star of this team and has generally been quite good throughout the tournament. Marco Belinelli was a disaster in this one shooting just 3-for-16 from the field.

  • Danilo Gallinari
    SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

Danilo Gallinari led the way as Italy ran over Andray Blatche and the Philippines 108-62 on Saturday.

Gallinari led the team in minutes with only 23 and put up 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting with four triples, three assists, four rebounds and two steals in the easy win. Marco Belinelli put up nine points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 20 minutes. From a fantasy perspective, Gallinari is preparing for a featured role on the Thunder while 33-year old Belinelli likely remains off the standard league radar.

Speaking about whether he plans on following Ettore Messina to Italy, Marco Belinelli said that he intends to sign one more deal in the NBA before heading back to Europe.

“Will I follow Messina in Milano? Maybe in a few years. I am happy in USA, I have one year remaining with the Spurs and then I will be a free agent. I would love to sign one more contract in the NBA,” said the Italian sharpshooter. Belinelli has settled in a nice backup role with the Spurs and it’s likely that he remains in San Antonio next year, even after Messina’s departure.

Marco Belinelli ended with two points, two rebounds and one assist on 1-of-6 shooting in 17 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Belinelli went 0-of-2 from behind the arc and was basically useless tonight. He finished this season outside of the top-215 in both 8 and 9-cat leagues and isn't much more than a deep league 3-point specialist coming into next season.

Marco Belinelli (left hip soreness) returned to action on Sunday scoring a whopping zero points in 14 minutes of action in a win against the Cavaliers.

Belinelli wasn't great in this one, but he should be fully ready to go for the playoffs.

    G/F, San Antonio Spurs

Marco Belinelli (left hip soreness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.

Belinelli missed Friday's game and the Spurs probably aren't rushing to get him back before the playoffs. If he cannot go, Bryn Forbes, Lonnie Walker, Patty Mills and DeMar DeRozan will each get a few extra minutes.

The Spurs are listing Marco Belinelli (left hip soreness) as out for Friday's game against the Wizards.

Belinelli's absence opens up added minutes and opportunity for the wing rotation. Bryn Forbes, Lonnie Walker IV, Patty Mills and DeMar DeRozan are all likely to see a few extra minutes against a weak Wizards defense.

Marco Belinelli (left hip soreness) has been downgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards.

Belinelli is dealing with what looks like a minor injury but may miss the game as the Spurs are looking to be healthy for their record 22nd straight time. Look for more information regarding Marco's status ahead of gametime on Friday.

  • Marco Belinelli
    G/F, San Antonio Spurs

Marco Belinelli grabbed the third double-double of his career on Tuesday night, scoring 17 points with a season-high 10 rebounds and five 3-pointers.

It was his first double-double since 2016. Belinelli went 6-for-16 from the field but the Spurs needed some scoring punch on a night where Derrick White and Patty Mills combined to shoot 0-for-16. Belinelli is a fine 3-point specialist but tonight's outing was obviously aided by other teammates struggling. The same can be said for Bryn Forbes, who chipped in 16 points and four threes of his own.

  • DeMar DeRozan
    G, San Antonio Spurs

DeMar DeRozan had an average night, hitting 7-of-19 from the field to finish Friday’s loss to the Rockets with 16 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and a steal.

DeRozan was no match for James Harden in this one and the Spurs lost a winnable game on the road as they jockey for playoff positioning. Marco Belinelli added 11 points and no 3s off the bench.

  • Davis Bertans
    F, San Antonio Spurs

Davis Bertans played 27 minutes off the bench and finished Friday’s loss to the Raptors with 16 points, four 3s, three rebounds and a steal.

Bertans has been a standard-league play over the last two months and while his game is roto friendly, he’s also an option for anyone looking to get 3s from a big man. Marco Belinelli added 21 points, five 3s and six rebounds in the defeat.

Marco Belinelli scored 17 points in Saturday's home win over the Pelicans, hitting 7-of-10 shots and three triples in 24 minutes off the bench while also grabbing two steals.

Belinelli was one of the few bench players who was a positive tonight, as they nearly blew a big fourth quarter lead and allowed the Pelicans to get things close in the final minutes. Patty Mills chipped in 12 points and two threes and Pau Gasol continued to work his way back into form with 6-4-4 in 15 minutes. The Spurs bench isn't a great bet for fantasy output, but Belinelli's a fine roll of the dice for scoring and threes.
