The Sydney Kings have inked sharp-shooting Brazilian NBA prospect Marcos Louzada Silva as part of the NBL's expanding Next Stars program.

Didi was selected by the Hawks as the No. 35 pick in this year's Draft, and traded to the Pelicans.
He is expected to develop in the Kings program in the NBL after playing in the recently-completed NBA Summer League.

The Pelicans have officially completed their draft night trade, acquiring Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Marcos Louzada Silva.

None of the Pels' rookies were able to suit up in the team's first two Summer League games but it's possible we see them over the course of next week. Hayes is the most interesting player of the bunch from a fantasy perspective and it'll be fun to see all the raw tools in a loose environment like Summer League.

Marcos "Didi" Louzada Silva, the 35th overall pick in the draft, will play with the Sydney Kings next season.

Louzada was always set to be a draft-and-stash, and he'll head to Australia as part of the NBL Next Stars program. The young Brazilian will also receive English tutoring and have an out clause in his contract should the Pelicans want to bring him over next summer.

The Pelicans have selected Marcos "Didi" Louzada Silva with the 35th pick in the 2019 draft.

Louzada Silva is technically a pick of the Hawks but will be headed to New Orleans as soon as this evening's trade goes through. He had a very efficient season in Brazil where he averaged 10.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals on 50 percent from the field, 42.5 percent from behind the arc and 73 percent from the line. Louzada Silva also impressed scouts at the Nike Hoops Summit, and will hopefully be part of the long-term answer on the wings in New Orleans.
