Maurice Harkless

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, New York Knicks

The Knicks have interest in re-signing Moe Harkless this summer, per Shams Charania.

Several "playoff contenders" are expected to show interest as well. Harkless probably earned some brownie points by not asking for a buyout when the Clippers sent him to New York, and he's the sort of versatile depth forward who helps round out a roster nicely. That said, he's not much of a fantasy option unless he's playing north of 25 mpg on a nightly basis.

  • Reggie Bullock
    SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock (illness) will not play during Monday's game.

Maurice Harkless had already taken over Bullock's role in the starting lineup, so he is not a recommended fantasy option.

    SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock (illness) will not play against the Bulls on Saturday.

Bullock is off the standard league radar this season but may have been used as a specialist in super deep leagues for his 1.4 triples and 1.0 steals in 24.5 minutes. That is no longer the case since Moe Harkless replaced him in the starting lineup three games ago as Bullock is averaging 1.7 points and 0.3 triples in 16.5 minutes since the lineup change.

Maurice Harkless hit five triples en route to 17 points in 26 minutes of action in Thursday's loss to the Sixers.

Hopefully Harkless snuck into some DFS lineups and people reaped the benefit of a pretty good budget line. He's a decent option in a deep-league because he may get more volume than we expected as he sticks it out with the Knicks through the end of the season.

Maurice Harkless will start for the Knicks during Monday's game.

Reggie Bullock will head to the bench. There's no reason to overreact to this news, but Harkless could be an undervalued DFS play.

    SF, New York Knicks

Maurice Harkless will stay with the Knicks for the rest of the season and is no longer interested in seeking a buyout.

It is pretty rare that any player wants to stay with the Knicks nowadays, but that appears to be the situation with Harkless. He's not much of a fantasy prospect, and the Knicks don't have any reason to give him major minutes. He's a deep league option for rebounds, steals and blocks.

During an appearance on ESPN, Sam Amick of The Athletic said on Tuesday that the Lakers are monitoring Maurice Harkless' situation in the event that the Knicks part with him.

The Lakers missed out on Reggie Jackson but they are still looking to add more firepower ahead of the playoffs. Harkless could give them more defensive versatility but it remains unclear whether New York is willing to let him walk. Regardless, it’s unlikely he has much fantasy value even if he lands with the Lakers.

Mitchell Robinson (illness), Maurice Harkless (illness), Damyean Dotson (illness) and Allonzo Trier (illness) have all been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

It looks like the Knicks will be at full strength heading into their final game before the All-Star break. It will be interesting to see what Harkless's role will be moving forward. Robinson continues to be a prime buy-low option as we gear up for the stretch run in fantasy leagues.

Maurice Harkless (illness) is being listed as questionable to play in Wednesday's matchup with the Wizards.

Harkless has yet to make his Knicks debut, and it seems likely that that will happen after the break. Reggie Bullock, Wayne Ellington and Kevin Knox will again see extra minutes if Harkless can't play.

Maurice Harkless (illness) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

He didn't play in Friday's game either but when he does return he'll likely be placed right into the Knicks' starting lineup. Until then, Reggie Bullock, Kevin Knox and Wayne Ellington will continue to split minutes at the SF spot.

Maurice Harkless (illness) is being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Hawks.

Harkless was available for yesterday's game but got a DNP, so perhaps this explains why. He figures to get a chance at cracking the starting lineup whenever he is able to get back onto the court. In the meantime, Reggie Bullock will continue starting at SF while Kevin Knox and Wayne Ellington will also see minutes off the bench.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers have traded F Maurice Harkless and other assets to the Knicks in exchange for forward Marcus Morris.

Leaving the star-studded Clippers to join the flailing Knicks is a boon to Harkless' fantasy value as he could flirt with top-150 value if he can get 30 minutes a game. Kevin Knox, who may ultimately start on a tanking Knicks team, and Reggie Bullock also gain value with this move as there will be minutes and shots to go around with Morris out.

  • Montrezl Harrell
    PF, Los Angeles Clippers

Montrezl Harrel came off the bench on Wednesday and chipped in 14 points (7-10 FG), seven rebounds and two assists.

Harrell turned in another efficient outing, and outscored starter, Maurice Harkless. Harkless ended the contest with 11 points, seven rebounds and a steal. There are also some rumors about Harrell being traded due to his impending free agency. If that comes to fruition, it will be interesting to see the roll he ends up in.

  • Marcus Morris
    PF, New York Knicks

According to Brad Turner of the LA Times, the Lakers and Clippers are among the teams interested in Marcus Morris.

Marcus Morris has been in the midst of trade rumors for some time now. Turner went on to say, "Knicks interested in Kyle Kuzma; would need Danny Green's contract to make it work. Knicks would want to move Green to another team. Clippers willing to part with Mo Harkless, but like Landry Shamet, who Knicks want." It remains to be seen if a deal is imminent as the Knicks have previously expressed interest in keeping Morris beyond this season. Trade season is in full swing so continue to monitor the news as we are less than 24 hours away from the official trade deadline.
