Maurice Harkless

Fantasy News

  • Marcus Morris
    PF, New York Knicks

According to Brad Turner of the LA Times, the Lakers and Clippers are among the teams interested in Marcus Morris.

Marcus Morris has been in the midst of trade rumors for some time now. Turner went on to say, "Knicks interested in Kyle Kuzma; would need Danny Green's contract to make it work. Knicks would want to move Green to another team. Clippers willing to part with Mo Harkless, but like Landry Shamet, who Knicks want." It remains to be seen if a deal is imminent as the Knicks have previously expressed interest in keeping Morris beyond this season. Trade season is in full swing so continue to monitor the news as we are less than 24 hours away from the official trade deadline.

  • Kawhi Leonard
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard (lower back tightness) will be back in action against the Wolves on Saturday.

Leonard missing last game was a bit worrisome because it wasn't a back-to-back but trouble has been averted. With him and Paul George both healthy, expect the roles of Moe Harkless and Landry Shamet to be reduced a bit.

  • Paul George
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George (hamstring) is probable to face the Kings on Thursday.

George is on track to return for Thursday's game after missing the last nine contests. His return could negatively impact the values of Maurice Harkless and Landry Shamet. Continue to monitor the news ahead of tip-off for confirmation regarding George's availability.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Maurice Harkless (sore lower back) returned from a one-game absence on Tuesday and barely played against the Mavs, accumulating just one rebound and four fouls in nine minutes.

Even in a start due to Paul George's continued absence, Harkless disappointed. He's worth streaming if you need a steal or a block, but as he's shown, even a starting role doesn't guarantee a good game for Harkless.

    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Maurice Harkless (sore lower back) will play in Tuesday's game against the Mavs.

Harkless should resume his role on the wing where he should see a few extra minutes with Paul George still out. Play him as you normally would.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Maurice Harkless (sore lower back) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Mavs.

Harkless should have another game or two without Paul George in the lineup to try to grab a few extra defensive stats, but then it's back to the waiver wire with him if he isn't already there in your league.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Maurice Harkless (sore lower back) practiced on Monday and is expected to return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Mavs.

Harkless will make for a potential streaming option on a one-game slate if he is ultimately cleared to play. Paul George (hamstring) is also traveling with the team, and the team is hopeful that he can return during the upcoming road trip.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Suffering from a sore lower back, Maurice Harkless is now questionable for Saturday's contest against the Hornets.

The Clippers will be without Paul George (strained left hamstring) already, and if Harkless were to join him on the sidelines minutes would shift towards JaMychal Green and Rodney McGruder. Green could have some sneaky value with 3-pointers and rebounds heading his way.

  • Paul George
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George will not play against the Magic on Thursday as he continues to recover from a strained left hamstring.

This marks George's fourth consecutive missed game and his 15th missed game of the season. George's next opportunity to return will come on Sunday against the Pelicans. Although George has been producing first-round per-game value, he loses four or five rounds of value when accounting for missed games. With George ruled out, the team will continue to lean more on Kawhi Leonard, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrel while JaMychal Green and Maurice Harkless could see additional minutes

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Maurice Harkless started in place of Paul George (hamstring) on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies, posting three rebounds with no other stats to his name.

Harkless may have been a popular spot-starter in fantasy tonight, but let this serve as a reminder that he is no longer the per-minute darling he was in Orlando and Portland, and he is alack for opportunities on a star-studded Clippers roster. Leave him on the wire.

  • Paul George
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George (left hamstring tightness) will not play on Saturday but head coach Doc Rivers said that he might play against the Knicks on Sunday.

Luckily this does not seem to be a long term issue for George who is averaging top-20 numbers this season, a decent-sized decrease from his top-5 numbers last season. Rodney McGruder started the second half for George on Thursday while Moe Harkless and JaMychal Green may also see extended minutes after both putting up strong lines in that game.

  • Rodney McGruder
    SG, Los Angeles Clippers

Rodney McGruder took Paul George's (left hamstring) place in the second half of Thursday's win, posting four points, a steal and a block in 14 minutes.

No telling on how much time George might have to miss but it's likely that McGruder gets the biggest bump as a result. There's not a ton to like here but McG is someone to keep close in 20-team leagues. Moe Harkless is also a likely winner and a better play in general, posting 12 points (6-for-7 FG), nine rebounds, a steal and two blocks in 25 minutes tonight.

  • JaMychal Green
    PF, Los Angeles Clippers

JaMychal Green is out for Thursday's game against the Rockets with a tailbone contusion.

Green is close to a return which will shake up the situation up front for the Clippers. That won't be in this contest so until then, it's more Patrick Patterson and Moe Harkless. Neither of those players are that exciting from a fantasy standpoint.

  • Maurice Harkless
    SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Moe Harkless went scoreless on Tuesday but was able to grab four steals and a block in 23 minutes.

Harkless will never be a great scoring option, but his ability to chip in across the box makes him a viable deep-league play with some top-150 upside when things are going his way. He shouldn't be on waivers in 16-teamers between his role and upside.

  • JaMychal Green
    PF, Los Angeles Clippers

Doc Rivers said that he doubts JaMychal Green (tailbone contusion) can play on Tuesday against the Suns.

Green has now missed over a week with the injury. He has been rather efficient in limited playing time when healthy. Patrick Patterson and Moe Harkless have seen more playing time in his absence.
