Michael Carter-Williams has been ruled out of Thursday's matchup vs. the Clippers with a AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.

Markelle Fultz will be the primary ball-handler on Thursday again with MCW and D.J. Augustin ruled out with injuries. Depending on Evan Fournier's status, the Magic could have some interesting low-cost DFS options on Thursday's five-game slate.

Michael Carter-Williams (left shoulder AC joint sprain) is doubtful to face the Clippers on Thursday.

Carter-Williams doesn't provide value in standard leagues as he averages just over 16 minutes per game. It seems highly unlikely that he suits up on Thursday and his next opportunity to play will come against the Warriors on Saturday.

  • Evan Fournier
    SF, Orlando Magic

Evan Fournier is listed as questionable for Wednesday due to a right quad contusion suffered on Monday.

Despite scoring 25 points, Fournier was apparently kicked during the Sacramento game. The Magic are already without D.J. Augustin and Michael Carter-Williams against the Lakers, so Aaron Gordon could see monster usage if Fournier sits.

Michael Carter-Williams (left shoulder sprain) will not play on Wednesday.

Carter-Williams had been listed as questionable but will sit again. He hasn't played since December 20. Markelle Fultz and Terrence Ross have seen more playing time as a result.

Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder sprain) is being listed as questionable to make his return to the lineup against the Lakers on Wednesday.

MCW's return would be a welcome sight for the Magic, who could use another guard/wing defender. If Carter-Williams can return, there will likely be more minutes to go around as D.J. Augustin is doubtful for the matchup.

Michael Carter-Williams (left AC joint sprain), who was expected to return to the lineup, has been ruled out on Monday against the Kings.

This is a bit of a curveball as MCW likely had some minutes coming his way given the injuries down in Orlando. He'll have to wait at least one more game before making his return. He's not on the fantasy radar.

Michael Carter-Williams (left AC joint sprain) is questionable for Monday's game with Sacramento.

MCW has been out for the last 10 games and would probably be a nice lift on the wings as a lanky defender to help try and replace Jonathan Isaac's minutes, but even if he gets rolling we're looking at a steals specialist in deeper leagues.

Magic coach Steve Clifford said that Michael Carter-Williams is feeling better, but that he is “still a ways away.”

The Magic could actually use MCW as they are missing Jonathan Issac and Al-Farouq Aminu as well. Clifford added that his guard has yet to start on-court work and he is still doing rehab on his shoulder so a return is not imminent.

Michael Carter-Williams (left AC joint sprain) is being listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

MCW is a name to keep in mind as a defensive specialist in deeper leagues with Jonathan Isaac's injury opening up minutes in the rotation, but can be ignored until he shows signs of a potential return.

Michael Carter-Williams (left AC joint sprain) will remain sidelined on Monday.

There's no telling when MCW will return to action but deep-league GMs should keep him in mind, as his length could help him pick up minutes as a wing in the wake of Jonathan Isaac's injury.

Michael Carter-Williams (AC joint sprain) will miss his sixth straight game on Friday against the Heat.

MCW is not expected back anytime soon and you are free to drop him in all formats. He was not much of a thought before this injury took place anyway. The jumper remains as broken as ever.

Michael Carter-Williams (AC joint sprain) is being ruled out ahead of Wednesday's matchup with the Wizards.

MCW does not have a clear return date and can be left on the waiver wire in all formats.

  • Mohamed Bamba
    C, Orlando Magic

Mohamed Bamba (right ankle sprain) went through shootaround and will be probable to play on Monday vs. the Hawks.

While it's a good thing that the notoriously slow-healing Bamba was able to get over his most recent injury fairly quickly, his production can be very sporadic behind Nikola Vucevic. Keep an eye on him, as you would any big man with his skillset, but don't expect fantasy relevance any time soon. Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) and Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) will remain out for this game, so expect the Magic to rely heavily on their starters.

Michael Carter-Williams has been diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, and has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Bulls.

The team said his timeline will be determined by how he responds to treatment, so consider him questionable moving forward. His absence will lead to a bump in playing time for D.J. Augustin and not much else.

Michael Carter-Williams had his left arm in a sling after Friday's game.

This sure looks like an injury that will cost MCW a few games. DJ Augustin gets a bump as the clear cut backup PG now, and deep-league players will have to find alternative steals specialists while Carter-Williams is out.
