Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left knee strain) missed practice on Wednesday.

MKG was unable to practice on Wednesday and his status is up in the air for Friday's game against the Wizards. Fantasy owners can leave MKG on the wire.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left knee strain) has been ruled out against the Rockets on Monday.

MKG was already doubtful for this one, but it does not have many fantasy implications. Malik Monk may finally see some minutes in this game.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left knee strain) is being listed as doubtful vs. the Rockets on Monday.

He was originally listed as probable yesterday so it's obviously not good that he was downgraded all the way to doubtful in only a day. Regardless, he's only played in one of his last five games and he's been outside of the top-300 over the past month. He belongs on the wire.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left knee strain) is probable for Monday's matchup vs. the Rockets.

MKG has played in only one of his last five games and even then he only played seven minutes. He's outside of the top-300 over the past month and can be left on waiver wires everywhere.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left knee sprain) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bucks.

Feel free to ignore him in most formats since his role has significantly decreased this season and should only warrant hard looks on deep leagues.

Michael Kidd Gilchrist (left knee sprain) is probable to play against the Bucks on Saturday.

Kidd-Gilchrist left Friday's game with a knee sprain after only two points in seven minutes after picking up three straight DNP-CD's prior to yesterday's game. He can be ignored in all formats as his role with the Hornets has diminished a considerable amount this season.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist wound up at the bottom of a pile of bodies and walked off the court gingerly as he went to the locker room with a left knee strain during Friday’s game vs. the Wizards.

He was replaced by Dwayne Bacon and is doubtful to return, leaving the game with two points and a block in seven minutes.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist logged a DNP-CD in Friday's win against the Nets.

Frank Kaminsky logged 24 minutes in this one and they were at the expense of MKG. Kidd-Gilchrist hasn't been doing much lately and he can be left on the waiver wire.

  • Nicolas Batum
    G/F, Charlotte Hornets

Nic Batum had an unassuming but very nice line on Friday with seven points, one 3, 10 boards, three dimes, two steals, two blocks and one turnover in a home win over the Grizzlies.

Batum has been playing pretty well over the last few weeks with top-60 value in 9-cat. He’s had just top-90 value over the last two months so his value will regress some when his shooting (50.9 percent over the last two weeks) corrects. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist added 10 points, a steal and a block in the win.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist dropped a season-high 16 points (6-of-11 shooting) with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 26 minutes off the Hornets bench on Friday.

This was MKG's most productive game all season and he's been a top-200 value in 9-cat, so we'd like to see him repeat this feat at least a couple of times before we recommend him in 14-team leagues or shallower.

    F, Charlotte Hornets

Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist scored 11 points off the bench in Saturday's loss to the Kings, hitting 5-of-11 shots (including a three) with seven rebounds and three blocks in 26 minutes.

Barring a bunch of injuries that force the Hornets to lean into MKG, these games are going to be far and few between. There's no real fantasy value in most formats unless he can do it again and again.

    F, Charlotte Hornets

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist played 23 minutes off the bench on Friday and finished with 12 points, five rebounds and two steals in the win over the Pistons.

MKG has had a bit of an up and down season but has cumulative top-150ish 9-cat value on the season. He’s an option in deeper leagues but you can probably find someone better in 12-teamers. Willy Hernangomez added 11 points and six rebounds but most of that was due to Cody Zeller fouling out after 21 minutes.

The Hornets expect to have Michael Kidd-Gilchrist back on Friday after he missed Wednesday's game for personal reasons.

Kidd-Gilchrist will impact the minutes of Miles Bridges and Frank Kaminsky, though ultimately his presence is of little significance in 12-team leagues. The fact that MKG returned to the team for Thursday's practice means he's a pretty safe bet to be available tomorrow.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) is unavailable for Wednesday's game against Detroit.

We hope all is well with MKG as we never like to see late scratches, or scratches after the game has started, due to personal reasons. Marvin Williams, Miles Bridges and Nic Batum should absorb his minutes and all get a slight bump in value if he misses more time.

  • Marvin Williams
    F, Charlotte Hornets

Marvin Williams (shoulder) is available to play on Friday and should start as usual.

It looks like Williams is safe to get into your lineups in daily leagues. He’s probably mostly owned in deeper formats but has been playing better of late with increased run so hopefully he can keep it up. If so, he would be on the radar for standard roto leagues. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will go back to the bench.
