Kelly Oubre to start for Otto Porter on…

[blurb-title player='Kelly Oubre Jr.' team='WAS' pos='F'] [blurb-fact]Kelly Oubre confirmed that he will start for Otto Porter (leg) in Friday's Game 6 vs. the Raptors.[/blurb-fact] [blurb-opinion]With Porter out for at least the rest of the series,…

  • Otto Porter - SF - Washington Wizards

Wizards coach Scott Brooks would not fully commit to Otto Porter playing in Game 6 on Friday due to a lower leg strain that began late in the regular season.

Porter's leg injury is clearly bothering him as he has not been his usual self in the playoffs. It does seem as if Porter will play on Friday but there is no guarantee. Porter has played in the first five games of the series so it would be a shock if he sits for the elimination game Friday in Washington.

Otto Porter helped erase an 11-point halftime deficit with a strong third quarter on Sunday, wrapping up a win with 12 points, six rebounds, two 3-pointers, a steal and two blocks.

The Wizards do a lot of running around to work for mid-range shots and decided to actually let Porter get in on the act in the third, kickstarting a nice run that led to a big home win. He's been pretty quiet this series but did log 40 minutes tonight, so we'll see what sort of usage he gets moving forward. Porter could stand to be more involved. Marcin Gortat also scored 12, including a pretty funny celebration after a big jam in traffic.

  • Otto Porter - SF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, one steal and one block in Saturday's Game 1 loss to the Raptors.

Porter has been all over the injury report with back and hip issues and he was limping around a bit in this one. The Raptors are comparatively weak at the small forward position and the Wizards would be wise to let Porter exploit that.

  • Otto Porter - SF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter (right calf strain) will be a game-time decision in Game 1 against the Raptors on Saturday.

The Wizards beat reporter said that Porter was "feeling better" but the fact that they haven't confirmed his availability yet is a little worrisome. Porter has not disappointed in the first year of his max deal, shooting 50.3 percent from the field, 82.8 from the line and 44.1 from three-point range to go with his stellar defense. The Wizards desperately want Porter to play but if he doesn't, Kelly Oubre, who's enjoying a somewhat of a breakout year himself, would draw the start.

Otto Porter (right calf strain) participated in portions of practice on Friday and remains questionable for Saturday’s Game 1 against the Raptors.

Porter picked up his injury on Tuesday and missed Wednesday’s season finale. In the past Porter has been known to play through injuries, so there’s a decent chance he suits up on Saturday. If he doesn’t, look for Kelly Oubre to draw the start. Check back for updates after shoot around on Saturday before the 3:30 (EST) tip-off.

  • Otto Porter - SF/PF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter scored 12 points in 18 minutes before departing Tuesday's game with a calf strain and it's unlikely that he plays in tomorrow's game against the Magic.

Porter also posted five rebounds, a steal and two triples in his short night. If he doesn't play, Kelly Oubre and Mike Scott will be the big beneficiaries. Oubre finished tonight's win with 11 points, five rebounds, two steals and three triples in 29 minutes while Scott picked up 12 points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes.

  • Otto Porter - SF/PF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter chipped in 18 points, eight boards, two assists, one steal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 115-119 loss to the Cavaliers.

With the exception of the noticeable lack of threes in this game, this was a classic Otto Porter game. He shot 61.5 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line. He's efficient, consistent and can fill up the stat sheet. Porter should be one of the high-priority targets in standard-league drafts next season.

  • Otto Porter - SF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter was mostly kept quiet on Tuesday night, scoring 12 points to go with two rebounds and a steal but he did hit three 3-pointers during the Wizards' loss to the Rockets.

Porter has been a top-20 play all season and it's mostly due to the fact that he consistently finds a way to stand out in one way or another. Tonight, he didn't do a whole lot but he did knock down three triples in just four attempts. Porter owners are lucky to be able to count on one of fantasy basketball's most consistent producers in crunch time.

  • Otto Porter - SF/PF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter was outstanding in Saturday's 107-93 victory over the Hornets, shooting 10-of-15 from the floor for a team-high 26 points to go with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks, six 3-pointers and zero turnovers in 38 minutes.

Porter only scored seven points in Thursday's loss to Detroit but got right back on track with this massive line. This was his first 20-plus game since March 2nd, and hopefully things get easier for OP from here on out with John Wall finding him for open looks. Porter is locked into all lineups whenever he plays, but could be in for a strong push to end the year.

  • Otto Porter - SF - Washington Wizards

Otto Porter (sprained right ankle) is good to go against the Hornets on Saturday.

Porter will be in the starting lineup on Saturday. The former third overall pick is producing top-25 numbers this year in standard leagues with 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.7 steals, while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 82.9 percent from the line. Kelly Oubre will come off the bench per his normal role but should be owned in all standard leagues regardless.
