Ramon Sessions

Fantasy News

  • Ramon Sessions
    PG, Washington Wizards

Ramon Sessions did not leave the bench in Wednesday's season finale.

Sessions latched on with the Wizards halfway through the year after opening the year as New York's starting point guard. He lasted three games before being scratched, and even then he was only a low-end option for assists and steals in those starts. He wound up playing 15 of his 28 games with the Wizards with a net average of 14.0 mpg. Sessions placed around the top-400.

  • Jodie Meeks
    SG, Washington Wizards

Jodie Meeks and Mike Scott are both out for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.

Both Meeks and Scott play around 16 minutes per contest and aren’t big impact players. In their absence, Ramon Sessions and Kelly Oubre Jr. may see even more time.

Ramon Sessions is expected to sign with the Wizards for the rest of the season.

It seems like the Wizards are looking to bolster their bench in time for playoffs. He is still likely to play behind Tomas Satoransky, but he could dispel Tim Frazier from the rotation. There is no reason to add Sessions in any format.

    PG, Washington Wizards

The Wizards announced that they have signed Ramon Sessions to a second 10-day contract.

Sessions is just veteran insurance for the Wiz, though he’s the type of veteran presence that usually finds a way to hang around with a team for a playoff run despite not actually playing at all. We’ll see if they sign him for the rest of the season after this contract expires..

The Washington Wizards have signed Ramon Sessions to a 10-day contract and he will join the team when they return from Cleveland.

The Wizards going to sign another point guard does not bode well for the other point guards currently on the team. Tomas Satoransky has been brilliant over the past month, bordering on mid-early round value. While he doesn’t score much he does contribute in assists, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, turnovers, and doesn’t hurt in steals or blocks either. The hope would be that Sessions takes over more of Tim Frazier’s minutes, who isn’t worth being owned right now, rather than Satoransky’s. With John wall almost four weeks through a six to eight week recovery, it is odd to see Sessions getting signed now with no ulterior motive. Hopefully Wall has not had any setbacks. Sessions will join the team Friday against Charlotte but is only on a 10-day contract for now so it would be best to wait and see what sort of impact he will have, rather than dropping anyone with any sort of value for him.
