Richaun Holmes (right shoulder soreness) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game.

The good news for Holmes owners is that he is expected to return on Friday against the Heat after missing about a month. At least Dewayne Dedmon will be back against the Wolves after battling an illness.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder) has been downgraded to doubtful for Monday's tilt against the Wolves.

The wait continues for Holmes' return. It has been a drag with few solid updates on his status, but Holmes is worth the wait as he was delivering player of the year value based upon where he was selected in drafts. He has been a top-20 value when on the court, and the Kings have clearly been worse without his presence. For managers with breathing room in the standings, he is a worthwhile buy-low target.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game versus the Timberwolves.

Holmes is getting closer and closer to returning, but the Kings will have four days off following tomorrow's game and his next chance to return is on Friday versus the Heat.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder) has been ruled out of Saturday's game versus the Lakers.

Holmes is getting close to returning but it still seems like he is about a week away. The Kings will also be without Marvin Bagley and possibly Dewayne Dedmon, leaving their fronctourt extremely vulnerable.

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) is being listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Lakers.

The Kings' frontcourt is already thin with Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes both already ruled out. If Dedmon is forced out Harry Giles and Nemanja Bjelica will be forced to do the heavy lifting down low, but this is going to be a tough matchup versus the Lakers' bigs.

The Kings updated the status of Richaun Holmes (right shoulder) on Thursday, saying that he will not travel for the next game due to an illness but should resume rehab in the coming days, hopefully leading to a return next week.

Holmes has been out since January 6 and while he was initially deemed day-to-day, it's been almost a month now. With news that Marvin Bagley will be sidelined until mid-February at minimum, Holmes should be able to put his stamp on the starting center role assuming he meets this timeline. There's no reason that he should be on any waiver wires, and this could be the final few days of the buy-low window.

According to Richaun Holmes' mother, he is progressing well and is hopeful to return in 'a few more days' from his right shoulder strain.

Holmes' mom took to twitter and said that her son is 'doing much better' and will hopefully return soon. Make sure to grab Holmes off the waiver wire if he's available as he was posting top-30 value in 9-cat and top-50 value in 8-cat before his injury. Try to buy-low on him if he starts off slow in his first few games back from injury.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) will miss his 9th consecutive game on Monday against the Wolves.

We haven't gotten much of an update on Holmes' condition since he came down with a shoulder sprain. We've received vague reports about his potential availability this week and that still seems like a possibility despite tonight's absence. In his stead, Dewayne Dedmon and Harry Giles will need to step up, but neither are in consideration in standard leagues.

Coach Luke Walton said in an interview that Richaun Holmes will be out for Friday's game vs. the Bulls.

Holmes was expected to be re-evaluated two weeks after his injury, so this "update" is simply in-line with the status quo. Holmes, a Hoop Ball darling way before he was a thing, has been so good this season, that his owners have no choice but to gut it out and wait for the underrated big man to get well.

  • Marvin Bagley III
    PF, Sacramento Kings

Marvin Bagley scored 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting to go with six board and two blocks on Monday.

Bagley is still coming off the bench in favor of Harry Giles (13 minutes, four points, three boards and three assists) even with Richaun Holmes (shoulder) shelved for a few weeks. It shouldn't matter though as Bagley has proven to be able to produce off the bench. He's only had six career starts, so that role shouldn't concern owners. As long as he's healthy you should be slotting him in your lineups.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) is expected to miss at least the next two to three weeks.

Holmes downplayed the injury at first, but he is expected to be re-evaluated in two to three weeks, so his timetable is looking more like a month. This gives the Kings the opportunity to showcase Dewayne Dedmon for a few weeks

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bucks.

Holmes is going to miss another game so that should mean more Harry Giles on the docket. Marvin Bagley is questionable and may make his return from a sprained foot in this contest, which would be a welcome return for the Kings, who need all the help they can get against a strong Bucks squad.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) did not participate in Thursday's practice.

This doesn't bode well for Holmes' status going forward after he never really had a chance to play on Tuesday (listed as doubtful and ruled out). With Marvin Bagley nearing a return, this is some poor timing for Holmes. He remains a hold in all formats, obviously.

The Kings have ruled Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) out of Tuesday's game.

Holmes said he should be okay after being forced out of Monday's game but the Kings will not push him in the SEGABABA. Harry Giles took Holmes' place after the injury occurred but we might see some Dewayne Dedmon as well. Giles is the better play if you're dying to get in on this situation, but that's really only because of a one-game sample — in a blowout win, no less. Let's see how the night unfolds.

Richaun Holmes (right shoulder strain) is being listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Suns.

Holmes was forced to leave Monday's win against the Warriors early with the shoulder issue but said afterward that he should be okay. The Kings may err on the side of caution and hold him out on the second night of a back-to-back. Harry Giles looks like the biggest beneficiary if Holmes misses time, while Dewayne Dedmon may get back into the rotation.
