R.J. Barrett (right ankle sprain) will remain out for at least another week.
The Knicks PR issued a medical update on Twitter that Barrett has progressed from crutches to a walking boot and will be re-evaluated in one week. The third overall pick missed the last four games and will miss at least the next three and quite possibly more. Damyean Dotson has made the most of his increased opportunity with top-80 value over the last three games averaging 16.7 points, 3.7 triples, 1.0 steals and a 58.1 field goal percentage in 25.2 minutes.

R.J. Barrett (right ankle sprain) will be re-evaluated in the next few days, according to coach Mike Miller.
Barrett suffered the injury after having one of his best fantasy weeks, raising his percentages to non-toxic levels and contributing across the board. Don't expect him back just yet , but expect an update on his status this weekend. He's not necessarily a hold in standard leagues.

Reggie Bullock scored 14 points in Saturday's loss to the Sixers, finishing with three rebounds, two assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.
With teammate RJ Barrett out this one, Bullock got the start and ended up playing 35 minutes in a tightly contested game. Bullock provides short-term value in Barrett's absence as he can provide decent steals and a few 3-pointers.

RJ Barrett (sprained right ankle) will miss at least the next week of action.
He'll be re-evaluated in a week, but at least X-rays came back negative after he was forced out of action last night. Damyean Dotson, Frank Ntilikina, and maybe even Wayne Ellington or Allonzo Trier could get into the mix a bit more. Barrett isn't someone you need to hold in redraft formats as his terrible percentages have already left him as someone to deploy in specific punt builds, with just moderate value even in those situations.

RJ Barrett played just 14 minutes on Thursday against the Suns due to a right ankle injury, scoring seven points.
Barrett's injury was a big blow to what has been his best run of the season. He has been a late-round value over the last couple weeks as his scoring output has ticked up. We'll see if he'll miss time, in which case Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina could have more of an impact. Dotson had six points in 26 minutes and Ntilikina had two points (1-of-7 shooting) to go with six assists and three defensive counters in 24 minutes.

RJ Barrett won't return to Thursday's game against the Suns after suffering a right ankle injury.
We'll have to see what the severity is for Barrett's injury. If he is forced to miss time, we may see an uptick in minutes for Damyean Dotson and Frank Ntilikina.

RJ Barrett had another solid game on Tuesday, finishing with 22 points (6-for-15 FG, 5-for-6 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and five 3-pointers.
Barrett's efficiency has been a serious problem this season but he's been on a nice run of late. We'd still steer clear if you need to preserve those percentages in any way, but Barrett remains a guy to consider if you need some scoring punch.

RJ Barrett went 7-of-10 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the line in Sunday's 124-121 win over the Heat, tallying 23 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a 3-pointer.
Barrett's not like most rookies in that he's had almost unlimited opportunity right from the start of the season, but his fantasy appeal has been extremely limited by woeful percentages — .389 from the field on 13.2 attempts and .585 from the line on 4.3 attempts. He gets a big boost in punt builds for either percentage, but those of us playing for every single category can safely stay away.

RJ Barrett hit 9-of-19 shots from the field and 1-of-2 from the line on Tuesday, going for 19 points and five rebounds, but he provided nothing else (except for three turnovers) in a blowout loss to the Lakers.
Barrett is definitely a work in progress. He has a long leash and is hopefully starting to put it together. His free throw percentage has increased each month at least. Barrett might seem like a fun stash, but he can be left on the wire in standard leagues.

RJ Barrett had his best game in recent memory on Sunday, as he put together an impressive 24 points (7-of-11 FG, 9-of-11 FT), six rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal, one block and one turnover against the Clippers.
A great night of shooting makes all the difference for any player, and that was most certainly the case with Barrett. It broke him out of a shooting slump, and while it would be nice to imagine this is a sign of the rookie turning the corner, the reality is he is unlikely to figure it out as the roster around him is only going to get worse.

RJ Barrett had a solid performance on Monday against the Wizards as he put up 18 points (8-for-15 FGs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
That's a fine game, but you can't ignore Barrett's atrocious games that drag his numbers, especially his percentages, down so far that he's only worth rostering in very dep leagues. Mitchell Robinson continued his ascent with six points, 13 rebounds and six blocks in 23 minutes in the starting lineup.

RJ Barrett, on the heels of Tuesday's career game, went 1-for-10 from the field to finish with two points in 20 minutes in Friday's loss.
Barrett also missed his two free throws. The efficiency is completely unworkable in standard leagues, and for every great game Barrett has four or five more where he's ripping your team apart. Julius Randle has been going through that same issue, albeit at a more reasonable level, and went 3-of-11 from the field and 7-of-10 from the line tonight. The Knicks are a mess in reality and fantasy.
December 17, 2019, 10:25 pmRJ BarrettSF, New York Knicks
RJ Barrett busted out of a mini slump in Tuesday's laugher, scoring a career-high 27 points (10-of-13 FG, 5-of-8 FT) to go with six rebounds, a steal and two 3-pointers.
The Knicks dismantled Atlanta tonight and Barrett did his damage in only 29 minutes of work. Obviously he'll face stiffer competition on most nights but most 12-team GMs shouldn't feel that burn at all since Barrett is only a top-250/300 (8/9-cat) guy on the year thanks to his terrible efficiency. You're either in a punt build or sabotaging yourself by spending a standard-league roster spot on the talented, but flawed, rookie.
December 15, 2019, 10:41 pmRJ BarrettSF, New York Knicks
RJ Barrett delivered an empty eight points, four rebounds and two assists on 4-of-14 shooting on Sunday vs. the Nuggets.
While the rest of his teammates had productive nights, Barrett was invisible beyond his lousy shooting from the field over 31 minutes. Inconsistency alongside inefficiency seems to be the theme for Barrett's rookie season thus far. He should improve with time, but it is hard to justify starting him in 12-team formats for the time being.
